Alright I'm kind of new to this last.fm thing. I just downloaded the plug in last week. Why isn't it showing my top artists? Do I have to adjust something in the settings?

PinkFreud 11-13-2005 08:04 PM
Freud- Just because his voice irritates you doesn't mean he can't rap. That would be like me saying "Jeff Beck can't play guitar because I think his tone sucks."

EDIT: I'm not by any means saying he can't play, or that he has crappy tone. I love Jeff Beck, but I was just using him as an example that I know you could relate to. :)
haha. yeah i understand. thanks for the rep, by the way.

3 Pink Floyd 6
3 King Mungi 6

Yeah the songs I listen to are coming up. I downloaded the plug-in about a week and a half ago and last week the top artists came up and I've listened to way more music this week on my computer than I did last week:confused:

I wasn't online Sunday night though, so maybe it didn't make the list right away:confused:

I doubt anyone will ever top Kage's 600 Porcupine Tree listens.

Jacaran- What's with the account switching?

robo2448 11-13-2005 09:00 PM

Would last.fm do my weekly artist thing on time if I joined the mx group on there? 'Cause I haven't joined that yet. I'm a little behind on this whole last.fm thing.

Jacaran 11-13-2005 09:02 PM

I made another account, but I had to edit one of my posts so I had to get on the other :S

Ya, I did listen to alot of music. I bought the newish Coheed CD so I've been listening to them a whole bunch, I thought they'd be number 1... but I was wrong.

600 Porcupine, wow lol.

Edit: Oh, maybe yours will take a little longer if you haven't used it long enough.

PinkFreud 11-13-2005 09:02 PM

Thats how I am. I just listen to a lot of different bands throughout the week instead of focusing on one. The only time it would spike over 30 would be when I fell asleep to an album on loop.

I'm seriously considering looking into an mp3 player. It seems a little pointless to rely on a gigantic case of CD's when Icould buy an mp3 player, put my music on there, and have everything with me all the time.

It will most likely be a while since I can't really afford it right now.

Definetly do it. It's much more convenient, especially since you take a monsterous collection of music with you wherever you go.

Lunch 11-13-2005 09:09 PM

I'd rather be driving around with an MP3 player than a whole case of CDs to, and just use an FM transmitter to play it through the car radio.

yeah, I guess I rarely have it off random unless I got a new cd. Speaking of which, I havent listened to my new old Living End cds. I'll go do that now...

I still love showing off my gigantic collection of CDs (few of which are burned), since me and most of my metal-loving friends like to do the legal thing for some reason.

But it really looks like the smart thing to do. Another friend of mine had his broken into recently. They didn't take all of his school stuff or his gigantic can of change, they only took his CD case. He wasn't too happy. With an mp3 player I could just bring it with me and not have to worry about that stuff.

I got my ipod for Christmas last year. It broke at the beginning of the summer but I got it replaced for free. Haven't had any problems since then. The 1 year warranty is good.

I know what you mean, but just do what I do, put your cds on the mp3 player :). Most of my friends get to bow down to my cd collection at my home anyway \m/. Also, other than my friends, I don't feel the need to show anyone else my CD collection, as I'll get to much of "who is that?" and "they suck", so you get the idea.

Sorry man, my AIM has been working like a faggot for the past few days; you've probably had the same problem, where it just says "The AIM service cannot be reached" over again everytime you try to sign on. Yeah, really gets on my nerves, because my connection is fine.

I know what you mean. I have a few friends who would drool over my CD's and hundreds of people who would keep asking who this band is and so on.

It would be nice to keep th CD's safe. The worst part was, he wanted me download and burn for him the 100+ CD's he lost. He also thought that giving me $20 would make it worth my while. In short, I made no money and he got no CD's.
