this is nothing.

A friend of mine didn't go to a party because he had to go to an "MC raid"

MC= moltencore

moltencore = a dungeon in the online game "world of warcraft"

If that's not worrying i don't know what is
Dear god. Actually some of my friends play that, they've been trying to convince me to play it.

Jev 03-19-2006 09:54 AM

It sounds really addictive though from what I've heard.
I never thought it would be life consuming.

It steals lives... They talk about it all day and play it all night

Sometimes you hear them say they've been up until 2am (on a skool nite!!!) "raiding MC" with their "guild" or whatever, and it concerns me some.

Sounds like my brother on runescape...

Jev 03-19-2006 12:03 PM

Haha, when I slept round a mate's house, her brother got up at 6 to play Runescape. I was like  FREAK!

Atomic Rain 03-19-2006 12:09 PM

runescape is exceedingly dull.

Mr. Black 03-19-2006 12:11 PM

I thought this place was bad. That sounds like hell.

Lord Abortion 03-19-2006 01:38 PM

Yeah, it's part of my "use of the internet while not become a totally pathetic loser." rules.
No Myspace, No Warcraft.

Its incredibly dull listening to them three discuss WoW endlessly during tutor :(

Jev 03-19-2006 02:06 PM

Don't give in. Never ever get it.

kiddy after paper round - I did one for 4 years, my lower back aches like a bastard these days and it really sucks getting up early every morning.

//

I have a copy of the Nebular Frost demo, its cool :D

the Misfits covers band I'm in played at a Battle of the Bands last night, we screwed up quite a few times but had a great time up on stage not really careing about winning or not, fun stuff :)
Is it good?

My friends have said I look like Action Man, 'cause I have a huge cut on my face.

Who would have thought branches could be so deadly?
Lord Abortion 03-19-2006 06:08 PM

Me, i went bush diving in bushes with lots of thorns, i was very drunk, it was great fun, i bled quite a lot actully.

Spectrum 03-20-2006 01:31 AM

FOAD. Staying up too late at night, listening to Brian Eno. Music for Airports, suckas.

Also, I think I might just have an actual band. We've jammed together, and we're really gelling. We hammered out some covers, started in quite a ways on a few, and proposed another. Here's the list:

Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees, I Might Be Wrong, A Drunk Punchup at a Wedding, A Wolf at the Door
Joy Division - Warsaw, Love Will Tear Us Apart
Coheed and Cambria - Blood Red Summer, A Favor House Atlantic

We're having lots of fun on those, and we jam out, usually led off by a drum beat from Eric. I wrote a pretty nice lick over a solid progression last week that I'm pretty happy with, we're going to develop at least that and another, rather long idea into some songs. I'm pretty excited - we might even be opening a gig in the next month.

WOOHOO!

Jev 03-20-2006 01:57 AM

That's good news.
My bassist wants us to enter battle of the bands. My guitar teacher's band lost and they kick major backside. We barely have any songs finished properly and there's no chance in hell of winning it. we have probably 3 songs I'm happy with to play in front of an audience. Then he goes to me "It doesn't have to be our own stuff" which pissed me off because we've been playing covers forever and play covers to originals in ratio would be 3:1. Which will make us look great.

the_uber_penguin 03-20-2006 04:41 AM

Oh, smeg.

Lord Abortion 03-20-2006 10:36 AM

Hey, children.

How is you's?

NP-Cannibal Corpse-Frantic Disembowlment.

Jev 03-20-2006 10:40 AM

Knackered, swimming.

So there was a gig on Saturday for charity. School bands were asked to play but not our band. I thought they thought we weren't good enough or something but it turns out they were afraid to ask incase we said no

Lord Abortion 03-20-2006 10:47 AM

Haha...that's a good thing, right?

I hope to be playing my school's music night, but the problem is I have to do my drama exam in the first half of the show, then sing in the second half...I'm going to be needing those extra-brown rubber safety pants...

Jev 03-20-2006 10:52 AM

I dunno, playing to 100 drunk chicks sounds like an opportunity missed, I want to gig again ASAP.
Good luck with that.

I know what you mean, We recently visited the woods, when we were stuck for something to do, at the end of my road.

We're now addicted, and built a house there.

But I swear that since we started going there, the amount of cuts and bruises I've got have increased immensly.

Also, you ever fallen on a barb-wire fence, trying to climb over it? That apart from apendicitis, is the most pain I've ever felt.

I know, I was like WTF?

I guess it's because I look miserable all the time (hence the nickname Happy) and look unapproachable. I'm not though :(

Hang on...your band is Ska-influenced, right?

How can you not be jolly?
Hang on...your band is Ska-influenced, right?

Exactly.
It's meant to be Ska-Thrash(Skash) but we're leaning towards the more thrashier side seeing as no one plays brass round here.

maybe it's because you're so short.

Jev 03-20-2006 11:11 AM

Everyone's short round here.
Most of my mates are around the same size.

Mr. Black 03-20-2006 11:12 AM

Thrash is better than Ska anyways.
