The end of classic rock is generally thought have as being between 1978-1980
but bands of the classic rock era were still putting out new material after then.. |
I need to get that, just for Search & Destroy. Iggy Pop <3.
baby can you help me please? somebodys gotta save my soul |
But as a whole, during that era classic rock began to drift from the limelight, many bands from that era faded away, and many others put out subpar material.

If RocknotRoll is around (or anyone who lives in Calgary), I'd suggest you go to a musical called California Dreamin'. I was just in Calgary and I went to it, and it was quite possibly one of the most amazing nights of my life. It's basically just a group of singers/musicians doing California songs from the late fifties to the seventies. A lot of Beach Boys and San Fran bands. The second half is so psychedelic it was amazing, I'd suggest it to anyone who lives in the area.

The rest of the album is great too. I would say the first 4 tracks are fantastic. |
Death Trip = the shizzle
It's just annoying that every single person that joins this thread quotes the first post and says exactly what you said about being young and liking classic rock. This is usually followed by a slew of incoherent ramblings about ACDC and Led Zeppelin.
Maybe we should get B0nz0 to ninja-edit the first post, to like "discuss" or something |
baby can you help me please?
somebodys gotta save my soul
If anarchy could be distilled into a sound, it would sound like that song. That California Dreamin' musical sounds way cool, too. I do love the Beach Boys. np: Jimi Hendrix - Fire |

I burned my dad's copy of Raw Power incorrectly, so I thought Search and Destroy was Death Trip for the longest time. |

refl.
If anarchy could be distilled into a sound, it would sound like that song.
If Satan ever rose up from Hell to tear up shit on Earth, that would be his theme song. "I am the world's forgotten boy....the one who's searchin', searchin' to destroy!" |
Although, I would bet that he was behind Billie Joe Armstrong.
No, don't worry, he wasn't on there  Also, they had Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Idol, Keith Richards, Johnny Rotten, Eminem ( ), 50 Cent, Liam Gallagher, Kid Rock ( ), Axl Rose, and a bunch of other people. |
Liam Gallagher wasn't a bad boy, though. He was just annoyingly loud and stupid.

123. Half the guys on the list didn't qualify. np: Bruce Springsteen - Born In The U.S.A. |
Hey, Jerry Lee Lewis diddled his 13 year old cousin. That qualifies.
I think. |
Why does every one hate or dislike maybe I should say Sgt. Peppers? It is one of my favorite albums.
Lunch took it the right way. Lunch and I concieved this good album thing this morning and I was just making a suggestion that Sgt Pepper's should be on there. I love Sgt Pepper's, I personally think it's a brilliant album. |
I also think it's great.
