I mean, before I watched it I had only heard how it was "messed up" and I knew that I don't really ever feel that way about movies, no matter how much hype is behind them. I had never seen a Lars von Trier movie before either, so I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out, even the most "messed up" movies have no impact on me, and the movie seemed pointless and Von Trier seems arrogant. I figured that the people only talking about how graphic it was were idiots missing some kind of point...but I couldn't find it.
