Oh okay.

I think Im gunno go watch Cinning Stunts after..I suddenly got the urge.
I don't like the way half the songs are out of sync on that.

Stormrider 12-12-2005 11:42 AM
I don't like the way half the songs are out of sync on that.
Its the only live stuff from Metallica that I have.

By out of sync, do you mean its not organized ? If so I havnt noticed it..last time I watched it was about 6, 7 months ago though.

Sadbutrue16 12-12-2005 11:42 AM

Ok it might jsut be me but can anyone else hear a structural simularity in Frayed Ends of Sanity and Through The Never? Personally i think they sound somewhat simular but it just might be me and im wierd....but anyhow thought i ask to see what other people think.

Watch the one video, it's bad in that. James is mouthing the words before you hear them. It's because it was performed over 2 nights and they choose the best audio and visual and pair them.

Oh I see..Ill look at it later. Theres a few things I dont like about it that I didnt like like, but that wasnt one of it..i hadnt noticed it.

For example, I Dont like that they murged MoP with Enter Sandman...I would have liked to hear the whole song..oh well.

Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing MOP in full.

Stormrider 12-12-2005 11:54 AM
Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing MOP in full.
But on a postive note, I love the Bass/guitar doodle.

Shadows_of_Souls 12-12-2005 11:54 AM
i prefer hetfield to any member of metallica...

he looks glorious, playing and singing/screaming/shouting.

and i proudly admit to like garage, inc.
Garage, Inc. is one of my favorite albums. MoP is my all time though

yeah same here, I dislike the medley though, They could've played RTL all the way through.

PepsiMetal 12-12-2005 12:52 PM

Hey Joe, did you download that Rock Am ring 03?

Meh, their performance was ok there. During intro of FWTBT it was pretty weird, bass was going on, almost muting guitars. Plus seemed like Rob messed up in the intro just when the song starts going. They probably just started touring then though just after st. anger release, so that's probably why.

vashts80 12-12-2005 01:22 PM

Bellz is fine on Rock am Ring. I'm watching it right now. The bass should have been lower in the mix though, though that's probably due to his wah more than anything

Chris2401 12-12-2005 02:36 PM

Well the point is they play FWTBT pretty good now.Except the vocals though...........i was a little dissapointed by the vocals on the stones gig.especially wherever i may roam OMG ****!

Father_Jack 12-12-2005 02:38 PM

Would some mind uploading this Rock am Ring gig, or telling me where I can get it...

PepsiMetal 12-12-2005 02:48 PM

I can send you a .torrent file via email if you want. The actual video is 700 MB, so I really can't upload it it would probably give me an error message in the middle on YSI.

Britton 12-12-2005 03:14 PM

God you all talk alot...are you at work or something?

what video are you trying/wanting to upload?

Father_Jack 12-12-2005 03:24 PM

Ah, there's no point I never really watch videos, if it were the audio, then maybe. But meh, I can't be arsed.

Doctor Night 12-12-2005 03:27 PM
Yeah, I was looking forward to seeing MOP in full.
I hate it when they do that. Like, on Live Sh*t, when they stop at the breakdown and start up 'Seek and Destroy'.

mr black 12-12-2005 04:00 PM
Megadeth is pretty cool. I mean Metallica is cool but still.

I punched some guy in the face it was funny. When they threw the picks into the crowd some guy pulled it out of my hand so I punched him in the face and then my other friend stomped on his hand so he would let it go. The dude was alright but it was still really cool.

We have joint custody of Kirk Hammett's pick now.
Hahaha my friend felt something hit him in the chin at BDO (Melbourne) and he didn't know what it was, until he realised it was kirks pick and there were about 20 guys smashing each other for it... needless to say he was pretty angry at not realising haha, funny thing is, we met the guy who got that pick when we were on schoolies.... small world

Man that medly rocks ! from memory goes from rtl, no remorse, hit the lights, seek and destroy, fight fire with fire, rtl intro and end. I may be wrong havn't watched it sober for a long time :chug: . But yeah i don't like how... manufactured that concert is, but the fade to black outro is still awsome despite the slide show nature of it.

Does anyone else notice that kirk blows the one solo on stunning c*nts ? :smash:

Jev 12-12-2005 04:23 PM

Yeah, keep FFWF, No remorse, HTL and Seek & destroy a Medley but play RTL all the way through dammit!

Ibanman 12-12-2005 05:47 PM

can someone please tell me what the big fuss is about metallica, i'v heard them and i'm not sayin there crap but there music doesn't seem to click with me, i just don't rate em at all...

heavy metal kid 12-12-2005 05:52 PM

Well they aren't the big fuss, they are good and talented, but nothing spectacular.

I think Metallica is overrated, and i'm a big fan.
They kick ass live, they play with a lot of energy and of 10 or eleven albums released only one is bad, they never sound the same, they keep changing as the time flows, i think that's a pretty cool thing of Metallica.

Musically the aren't the best, they have two great guitarist, a good frontman, one crappy drummer and right now, they have a killer bass player.

Ibanman 12-12-2005 05:54 PM

thats cleared up thanks...:thumb:

heavy metal kid 12-12-2005 05:57 PM
thats cleared up thanks...:thumb:
No problem i don't want to blind you saying that they are the best band or saying that they completely suck.

I agree iam a big Metallica fan and they have had a big influeance on my bass playing, But I still reckon they are slighty Overated

mfb 12-12-2005 07:10 PM

simply put, metallica rocks.

mr black 12-12-2005 08:50 PM

Simply put no other guitarist can down pick as fast as James, i just don't understand how he down picks Master of puppets at that speed

RustedPieces 12-12-2005 08:53 PM
Simply put no other guitarist can down pick as fast as James, i just don't understand how he down picks Master of puppets at that speed
Yeah it's tough, but it can be done with practice. Through The Never gets tiring after playing the whole thing downpicked.

mr black 12-13-2005 07:59 AM

...pfft  NO !
