The ipod is pretty decent, apart from the battery life and that you can't replace the battery. Some people won't touch them though.
The creative Zen is good as well, plus you can replace the battery.
Both can hold up to 40 gigs. The zen might be able to hold more than that though.

superpeer 03-12-2005 02:19 PM

You can't replace the battery? Then what do you do when it's empty? :)

Recharge. Perhaps I should have mentioned that.
Both of them use an internal battery, you can't replace the ipod one but you can with the creative zen, I think.

I just listened to Knockin' On Heaven's Door by Wyclef Jean, Suprisingly it was good.
Recharge. Perhaps I should have mentioned that.
Is that good or bad? And why would Bartender hate Ipods?

Otherside 03-12-2005 02:34 PM

Creative Zen has a 60gig mp3 player.

ATM 03-12-2005 02:37 PM
Creative Zen has a 60gig mp3 player.
That's awesome.

Woodstock 03-12-2005 02:40 PM

I'm still Ipod-less. All I have is a little RCA Lyra 128MB player.

munky_magik 03-12-2005 02:45 PM
Is that good or bad? And why would Bartender hate Ipods?
The Ipod has a battery life of four hours or thereabouts, after that it takes a while to recharge. I think that the battery life is just a bit too short especially for travelling.
I don't know why he hates them either. Bad experiences perhaps? Iai dislikes them as well.

I'm not sure.

superpeer 03-12-2005 03:08 PM

I'll try to get one, as soon as I figure out how much GB I need.

Otherside 03-12-2005 03:21 PM

You'd be happier with a Creative Zen, seriously.

superpeer 03-12-2005 03:23 PM

Yeah, I'm not planning on an Ipod. :)

Kage 03-12-2005 03:23 PM

What are the price differences?

munky_magik 03-12-2005 03:25 PM

Ipods are more expensive in the UK, I don't know about elsewhere.

Illmatic 03-12-2005 03:27 PM

Hey thread.

ATM 03-12-2005 03:28 PM

It's a slow day when we talk about mp3 players for over an hour

ATM 03-12-2005 03:30 PM

Also, Louisville dodged a major bullet...free-throw shooting has reached depressing new lows.

Any of you heard about an I-river? My friend got one, has a color screen, a voice recorder, it can hold Word documents and photos.

superpeer 03-12-2005 03:42 PM

Yeah, I saw I-rivers, it had a lot of GB too. :)

Same price as an Ipod.

Illmatic 03-12-2005 03:44 PM

I have a 20 gig Nomad. I don't use it all that much though.

My friend has one.

Kurtz 03-12-2005 03:55 PM

Doesn't the most basic one cost like $450 or so?

ATM 03-12-2005 03:59 PM

I've got a Rio Riot.

Illmatic 03-12-2005 03:59 PM

The thing is, at some point, the iPod will simply die, and you can't recharge it at all.

Otherside 03-12-2005 04:01 PM

Here's hoping NC state will beat Duke.

superpeer 03-12-2005 04:07 PM

I'm like the only person without an mp3 player, so I'll need to be trendy and get one. :)

Woodstock 03-12-2005 04:10 PM

Everyone I know who has an Ipod takes it to school all the time. So many get stolen there, though.

superpeer 03-12-2005 04:11 PM

People in schools are scum.
