No idea, I'm guessing like 10, similar to Load or Reload, or maybe 7 or 8 like Puppets and Lightning. Aparently there will be solos on this album too. I can't wait! And I can't wait to see what Rob is like in the studio with the guys. And I can't wait til they tour again. I will line up for days to get tickets if I have to.

Jev 12-12-2005 04:16 AM

Yeah, I'm putting away a bit of money so I can get tickets the day they come out.

iluvkirkhammett 12-12-2005 06:32 AM

Who wouldn't. Me and a mate slept in Queen Street mall overnight for tickets. It was cold, it was raining, it was worth it.

Jev 12-12-2005 06:39 AM

When I bought tickets for the first time I went to see them I was actually looking for Linkin Park tickets. Thwy were sold out so I looked for a different gig. I found Metallica, not sold out and bought tickets. I was so lucky.

iluvkirkhammett 12-12-2005 06:49 AM

Wow, that's awesome. We saw them at the big day out. They were scheduled for three quarters for an hour, but they ended up playing for two whole hours. Sucks to be who ever was scheduled after them, they lost their spot!

Awesome. First time I saw 'em they played 2 hours. Second time was at Download '04 where Lars was ill. Joey from Slipknot, Dave Lombardo from slayer and Lars' drum tech filled in but still it was just over an hour.

Me and my best friend fought our way from the top of the hill to the very front row during One, by the time the heavy stuff kicked in we were about half way (it was about a 100 metre stretch) so we just started pumping. We reached the front for Kirk Hammett's solo, it was the best moment of my life!

Heh awesome.
I got was at the front for a Megadeth show once. That's about it. :(

Megadeth is pretty cool. I mean Metallica is cool but still.

I punched some guy in the face it was funny. When they threw the picks into the crowd some guy pulled it out of my hand so I punched him in the face and then my other friend stomped on his hand so he would let it go. The dude was alright but it was still really cool.

We have joint custody of Kirk Hammett's pick now.

Jev 12-12-2005 07:09 AM

Haha. You know the picks have pictures of the guys on them? Well my mate has all 4, lucky bastard

iluvkirkhammett 12-12-2005 07:13 AM

That's so cool!

I think the guy with the pick dropped because he was so surprised that I would hit him so hard. I'm a girl, I weigh like 115 pounds or should I say around 45 kilos and I'm 5'2" so needless to I'm pretty small.

Jev 12-12-2005 07:15 AM

Haha. I know someone kinda like that. You probably stunned him.

iluvkirkhammett 12-12-2005 07:17 AM

Probably. It was such a great show though. Every song was just perfect. Kirk added solos to Some Kind of Monster and Saint Anger, it was AWESOME! And they played For Whom the Bell Tolls, I love that song.

Jev 12-12-2005 07:26 AM

Yeah Kirk put solos in Frantic when I saw 'em first time. They played nothing from Load, Reload or Garage Inc. though.

iluvkirkhammett 12-12-2005 07:40 AM

They played Fuel at BDO, and Memory Remains. It was a great show.

timmySmi 12-12-2005 08:37 AM

They have played King Nothing at a few venues during the ST Anger tour. I'd like to hear them play Unforgiven II and Until It Sleeps sometime in the future but know as there getting older I guess they wanna give fans what they wanna hear.

Jev 12-12-2005 08:40 AM

Metallica have always done what they want. It's not that they're giving fans what they want, they're playing what they want to.

timmySmi 12-12-2005 08:55 AM

Really? When I was at the Dublin gig In Ireland they did'nt have Whiskey In The Jar on there setlist. The crowd were going crazy during some songs just shouting it for it. After Holier Than Thou Jaymz said that they would play it for definete nexted time they were around so after the show finished everyone was a little down but then Rob came on and did this weird melody thing with his bass then Kirk and Jaymz came on then joined in. Lars comes and counts them in and they start playing it and the crowd just erupted, loudiest crowd I've ever being in apart from a Rage Against The Machine concert. My sister who met Metallica at a meet N greet a few years back asked Lars for Dyers Eve and they ended up playing it aswell. My point being Metallica does care for there fans and will deliever on the odd occasion.

All through the late 90's it was alot of Load and Reload stuff and ownly recently they have being playing alot of stuff from justice i.e Blackend, Dyers eve, Havester Of Sorrow. And hardly any Load ere stuff coincidence?

I think Metallica plays what they want and at the same time they want the fans to have fun....s alot of it balances out.

i got to the front for Maiden at Leeds, that was fun. i'm not exactly sure how i managed, as i'm only 5'7" or so. i would love to see Metallica now, especially since i've been listening to Live Shít loads over the last week.

they're gonna want to have fun playing as well, so they won't play songs they don't enjoy playing. also, if the crowd are having a great time, it makes the band's time much better.
