Heafy was great as well. His live voice sounded much better than in the studio. I don't care much for Trivium, but I can acknowledge they put on an insane show. The pits were freaking huge and I'm surprised nobody got hurt.

I'll see if I can find the setlists.

Did he lose his voice at all? Or did he finally learn to scream.

He managed to keep it for their entire set, but I noticed he was drinking almost a whole bottle of water in between each song.

Here's CoB's setlist:

Living Dead Beat
Sixpounder
Silent Night, Bodom Night
Hate Me!
In Your Face
Angels Don't Kill
Drum Solo
Bodom After Midnight/Bodom Beach Terror mix
Follow The Reaper
Needled 24/7
Guitar/Keyboard Solo (Alexi vs. Janne)
We're Not Gonna Fall
Hate Crew Deathroll
Are You Dead Yet?

-Encore-
Guitar Solo (Roope)
Chokehold (Cocked 'n' Loaded)
Downfall
Everytime I Die

bringbacktheshred 11-13-2005 02:07 AM

Cheers.

Trivium sound like they put on an awesome live show. Were you in any pits?

That CoB setlist is awesome, man.

Shadows 11-13-2005 02:08 AM

No, I was lucky enough to not be pulled in. I was just pushed to the side like everyone else.

That's awesome, both the Trivium and Bodom news, I am really excited for the 9th of December now.

bringbacktheshred 11-13-2005 02:14 AM

Lol, by the sounds of it, it's lucky no-one got hurt.

Shadows 11-13-2005 02:21 AM

It was very aggressive. Heafy was trying desperately to get a rise out of the crowd, and he did. The entire floor was a pit, and it's not a small place. I thought it was insanity.

I had no idea that the show I went to was the very first on the American tour. I was one of the lucky people to see Follow the Reaper played live for the first time ever in the USA. That made my day.

If you like Trivium then you'll fucking love this show. The crowd was completely insane when they played, and it easily rivaled the energy of CoB's audience. I can't remember what songs they played exactly, but it included A Gunshot to the Head of Trepedation, Like Light to the Flies, Declaration, and The Decieved.

They had to have played Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr.

They might have, but I don't think they did. He didn't mention the names of every song so I could be wrong.

Anyway, I'm tires as hell from this show, so I'll talk to you people tomarrow...or rather, later today. :)

i am the robots 11-13-2005 02:33 AM

Good night man.

Jesus, you guys get so sensitive at something even semi-serious.

But on an actual serious note, I'm stepping outside metal for the most part. I don't know, all of the sudden I just felt that most of it just bores me.

bringbacktheshred 11-13-2005 03:15 AM

Yeah, I can definitely see where you are coming from. I went through that phase a couple of months ago, then I doscovered Bullet For My Valentine. Heh, it's never been the same since.
On a mac?
If I were running on 1600x1200 on a mac, I still wouldn't feel badass, because I'd be on a mac. But lo, the pretentious media I'd produce.

If I used a mac, I would take pictures of myself, layer them over and over in Photoshop, and write text stolen from Explosions in the Sky song titles on them.

I would have gone to CoB/Amon Amarth just for Amon Amarth, but by the time I found out the tickets had already sold out.

the2stranger 11-13-2005 05:15 AM

I've seen Amon Amarth twice.
once on a festival and once headlining their own show (with 2 support bands)
I shaked hands with the entire band and I have a plectrum :)

the2stranger 11-13-2005 05:27 AM

I went to a local show yesterday night, the 3 opening bands sucked, but the main act was great.
a 3 man black metal band
guitar/vocals
drums
keyboards.

it was awesome.

olny thing was: there were a ggroup of posers, they were fugging hardcore dancing during this Black Metal band, god I hate that

"If you have di-uh-beatis and you're on Medicare, there's an easier way to get your di-uh-beatis testing supplies delivered right to your door, whether you use insulin or not. They pay for your heart monitors, your test strips, your lancets. You pay nothing up front and there's no charge for shipping. They bill Medicare and your insurance company, so there are no claim forms for you to fill out. And Liberty will remind you when it's time to re-order. Call Liberty Medical. They can help you live a better life."

I had a former Account, Stonedprune.
I was the one whoring last night.
I'm ok, thank you for your concern.
I just post alot, but no spam, of course!
I honestly try not to spam.
Yes I do, but 90% is lurking.
I got to guitar/politics more often and read/help in the site forum alot.
I mostly come on during work when i have nothing to do. which is alot.

Also, Strum voted me most improved user, which I thought was quite an achievment.
but I don't like showing off.

Hi, former stonedprune. Salutations. I'm afraid I don't know who that is/was, either.

It's no problem, everyone should be happy and jovial on the Internets. And everyone should be happy outside of the Internets, too.

Of course not, spam is silly.

Lurking is okay, too.

I never visit the instrument forums - once in a blue moon - and I don't really participate in politics. I wrote an article on NCLB, but I kinda forgot at the time that it doesn't impact any other country than the US, so it got maybe a page of responses.

Congratulations, you have quite the accolades from Strum. Hooray. Did you win anything?

Naw, who shows off on the Internets? Certainly not you! Oh, no, sir!

I think it's just an awful band. And it irritated me how they had to emphasise the fact that they're so thrash metal, when they're not thrash metal at all.

Oh well. I'm out.
