NP: The Snakefish (HaDag Nachash) - Toy (Tzahtzuah)

Bartender 03-12-2005 09:36 AM

I'm just sitting here drinking coke, eating cold pizza left over from last night, and listening to the Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. It's quite unreal how much I love this soundtrack. Yourself?

Joe 03-12-2005 09:49 AM

Ok well i'm sitting here, about to be eating left over pizza, listening to a punk cd my bassist made me to listen to

*turns back to my 'tallica*

Jom 03-12-2005 09:49 AM

Hello all.

I have to go out and shovel some. We got hit again with more snow, and since I'm home, that means free manual labor from the eldest child :p

Michigan has by far the most fickle weather.

For example, the past two days were sunny and a bit about 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Now, we have a below-zero windchill and snow :-\

Oh well. See you all in a few.

Otherside 03-12-2005 09:51 AM

I wish we had snow. This was supposed to be the worst snow season for north carolina in 10 years...

We had a total of 1 inch this winter season in my area.

well NC is pretty south for snow isn't it? we had around 10 inches or more up in Maryland

Otherside 03-12-2005 09:54 AM

NC is right at the borderline. We've gotten up to a foot of snow and probably more than that. The worst thing for us is ice storms though. I was out of school for a week because of a huge ice storm we had last year.

yea i was out a week for not only a blizzard but all those hurricanes last year kept us out of school for a week

Dr. Jake Destructo 03-12-2005 10:05 AM

Fuck. Up here in Washington, the ski resorts never even opened due to lack of snow. I am dead serious. It is the biggest drought that we have had since 1977. It especially sucks for me because my parents get their money mainly from farming, and without water, you can't farm.

Joe 03-12-2005 10:14 AM

this "victim of changes" song is pretty awesome. it's not punk at all. anyone have any idea who it is?

Otherside 03-12-2005 10:14 AM

That would be Priest.

GurS 03-12-2005 10:15 AM

It snows every so often... it snows every year, but it rarley settles, and when it does, not more than 3 milimetres or something of that ilk. However, in the 02/03 winter, it was the first proper snow for years, the whole of London was basically brought to a standstill. It normally take me half an hour, maybe 45 minutes to get home from school; that day, It took me nearly 7 hours. the year after, it snowed aswell, it wasn't as heavy as 'that' year but it still caused school to be closed, etc. This year, no such luck :(

Otherside 03-12-2005 10:16 AM

I've always wanted to go to london, I bet it looks awesome snowed in.

Guys, try this song. I reckon ya'll will like it. It's by The Snakefish, an Israeli funk/hip hop 9 piece (although at the time of that song/album it was seven). The song's called Trumpledor, and is probably my favourite Snakefish song. (The 'real' name of The Snakefish is HaDag Nachash, but in English it's The Snakefish)

munky_magik 03-12-2005 10:19 AM

You quite like Snakefish don't you?

Dr. Jake Destructo 03-12-2005 10:20 AM

I'd like to go to England as well. You live there, I'm jealous.

If you have a spare £200+ roughly.

Dr. Jake Destructo 03-12-2005 10:24 AM

I was watching PBS the other night..If you don't know what PBS is I think it's Public Broadcasting Network, and they usually play documentaries on dumb stuff..anyways, I was watching PBS and there was a concert on, and it included Clapton, McCartney, and a few other big name classic rock gods. It was awesome. I only watched a couple songs, and I didn't recognize em, but it was amazing. :amaze:

oh yea and the post about 200+ (i don't have the symbol on my keyboard), its more than worth it

GurS 03-12-2005 10:27 AM

London's a pretty cool place to live, no matter what kind of music you like, there'll be a concert venue for that style of music somewhere in London. And the night life is pretty good, though it's very expensive in town. However, there are some really rough areas (east end, for example), there's an expansive underground crime ring, a bit of gang warfare, and the polution is terrible. Luckily, I live in the North West section of London, which isn't half as rough/polluted as east and south east london.

Otherside 03-12-2005 10:27 AM

-Sigh-

Burning DVDs is annoying. I went through alot of work to convert these .ogm vids to .ISOs so I could burn them onto a DVD... and they only play computers. Ugh.

Dr. Jake Destructo 03-12-2005 10:28 AM

Allright, I'll see you guys later. I need to find out when I have tennis practice. :upset:

GurS 03-12-2005 10:28 AM

It probably is worth that, but not everyone has that money to spare.

Well, it's around 200 pounds for tickets right now. Anyone spare ones will sky rocket in price before the gig.
And it's not particularly worth it if you don't really like Cream.
