Silenius 07-28-2010 12:41 PM

What Once Was... (?)

Tyler 07-28-2010 12:47 PM

How is it? It's just one track?

Bleep 07-28-2010 01:51 PM

My download contained two tracks of 15-16 mins. There were pauses however that sounded like it was a different song. I didnt give it a proper listen yet but the 80% rating on MA felt right. It has cool artwork however.

The album name is "Liber I" actually. What once was should be a series of similar albums from what the band said

RetiredAt21 07-28-2010 02:01 PM

Gonna check it out when I get home from work.
which album
IV and V

Tyler 07-28-2010 02:35 PM

I like V but I have a hard time keeping a straight face whenever there's the spoken monologue bullshit.

Aakon_Keetreh 07-28-2010 02:38 PM

I have V and VI.

masscows 07-28-2010 02:41 PM
I like V but I have a hard time keeping a straight face whenever there's the spoken monologue bullpoop.
I like the clip they use from Prozac Nation in the middle of the 3rd track

but I love that movie too so yeah
I have V and VI.
Duuude, IV is my favorite one. Get on that.

Wasn't a fan of VI tbh, too groovy

Aakon_Keetreh 07-28-2010 02:44 PM

this is the first post that i agree with you

Drugstep 07-28-2010 04:55 PM

what the hell is jazzcore

Nostalgia 07-28-2010 04:57 PM

it was only made up about 20 minutes ago so give it a few days to form a cult esoteric following that can explain it to you

Drugstep 07-28-2010 04:58 PM

im glad it exists i really don't think there are enough idiotic sub genres with core thrown in at the end

Txus 07-28-2010 05:03 PM
it was only made up about 20 minutes ago so give it a few days to form a cult esoteric following that can explain it to you
it was actually formed 20 years ago or something but i agree, its a stupid subgenre

christsimpson 07-28-2010 05:47 PM

jazzcore is just jazz mixed with any form of dissonant rock music, such as hardcore or metal.

it's not really particularly stupid. a lot of people say "jazz punk", "jazz metal", etc. but this doesn't really hold up, because a lot of the bands are not e.g. a pure mix between '70s punk rock and '70s jazz fusion. instead, they often have e.g. a bit of hardcore, a bit of free jazz, and a bit of drone - or whatever.

it's not any more stupid than any other subgenre of jazz, rock or any other "major genre".

RetiredAt21 07-28-2010 07:43 PM

sounds p gay

did anyone check out donkelheet yet?

Txus 07-28-2010 09:38 PM
