This is random but has anyone ever chip a stick and the piece that was chipped went in your eye?? That happened to me and it really hurt..

Almost, I got hit right between the eyes, it was quite funny.

Since I have a REALLY bad technique, little parts come off my sticks and fly into my eyes so yeah.

HAha jesus. Get that sorted out.

One time in rapid fire mode I broke 2 Sticks.

As in

/Playing live
/break stick in right hand
/Grab one out of stick bag
/play one bar
/stick breaks in left hand
/grab another

That is the worst. You feel retarded trying to juggle those sticks.

Never had stick chips in my eye though.

I poked myself in the eye once while playing :upset:
I'm still not entirely sure how it happened, but it hurt.

I've had a stick fly and hit me in the head and I got really mad... Then it my snare REALLY hard.

I played a concert with the Katabatic Winds Orchestra last night in the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle. I have another concert with them tonight in hall one in The Sage, Gateshead. I was chatting to Bill Connor, the composer of '...Oodunnit..?' today. He's a very nutty guy, but also very nice.

My teacher wants to put me in for my Grade 1 but he said im up to at least Grade 3 level. Is there any point in me going for it or shall I skip 1 and 2 and go for 3?
