So yesterday as I was going through the barrier to get on the tube someone dropped a wad of notes. I stopped, looked around for a second to see if I could see who dropped them, then one of the tube staff came up to me and said he thought he saw me drop them

It was £45, which almost doubled my pay from yesterday and I felt guilty for a good 10 seconds :(
Some kid might've spent the whole year saving that up so he can buy a mobile phone and be accepted by his friends.

Some old man was off to do his weekly food shop and won't eat this week as a result.

some businessman might have been fired from work, gone home in the rain, found his wife in bed with his best friend, gone to buy himself a stiff drink but found his money was all gone so thrown himself off a bridge.

And it's ALL YOUR FAULT

Patrick O))) 07-24-2006 09:23 AM

Fucking hell, why doesn't that ever happen to me :upset:

Lord Abortion 07-24-2006 10:00 AM

AG 07-24-2006 12:42 PM

I found £20 in Co-op before a BLS gig once. I was at the till, looked down and saw it, then put my foot over it, in case the person in front of me had dropped it and looked for it ... it was cool. Except the gig was cancelled when we got there

I'm pretty good, bacon pasta's a-comin', Fifth Element's on on Film Four tonight at 9

AG 07-24-2006 12:48 PM

I bought that on DVD the other day in the HMV sale for like £3.99.

It's all good, you found £20 and you didn't have to suffer the truly God-awful BLS.
What more could you want?

Mexican Bandito 07-24-2006 01:04 PM

I just bought a camera and a 2gb memory card for under £70 :D

AG: I haven't got my discount card yet, nor have I been paid yet, and the sale's pretty much over :(

Fifth Element: I really like that film. I've seen the first hour or so so many times, only seen the opera bit once  That's my favourite bit

Ok, guys, you may remember a while back I told ya'll about THE LIST?

Well, I'm still needing help :( so if any of you have any of the albums on the list, and wanted to send it to me over msn, YSI or something similar, I'd love you forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever.

Here's are links to posts where I've previoulsy posted THE LIST. These links are not for the full list, but only the albums I've got still to listen to. If anyone wants the full list, ask and I'll e-mail it to you.

love you all

Patrick O))) 07-24-2006 01:58 PM

Is that the 1001 albums you must hear before you die?

If it is, HMV's next campaign is about them; they're all available for either £5, £8 or £10, and if you spend £20 or more on them you get the book "1001 albums ..." for half price.

OoooOOOOooooo!!, I hear you say

EDIT: And I must say, a whole lot of them suck. I mean, Lenny Kravitz, but no Kyuss?

GurS 07-24-2006 02:01 PM

too ****ing right ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

That is actually brilliant. I've already got the book, and am already making me way through them, but cheap cds like that will help the effort :D

In the meanwhile, if anyone wants to aid me in my effort and upload me one of those albums, I'd love them forever. And, of course, if anyone wants to do THE LIST for themselves, I've got quite a few albums on the list that I can upload.

I'm on 197.... when I started in mid January, I was on 31.

Patrick O))) 07-24-2006 02:03 PM

Sepultura's on it twice! Good albums though. And Killing Joke

Deftones remind me of Lylat Wars

GurS 07-24-2006 02:04 PM

I never lost a game of Lylat Wars deathmatch in my life.

Fact.

Patrick O))) 07-24-2006 02:13 PM

Did you ever get all the medals so you could be a little guy in Deathmatches?

There were one or two medals that eluded me. I think the Waterworld one and the other medal on the Hard version of the last level, only because it took so long to get to, I hardly ever played it that long
