Yeah, he's solid as hell. Can't wait to see him at Rock the Bells. |

I couldn't finish that album. *shock! horror! |
As in, you couldn't finish it because of all the shock and horror that it provides?
or I should be shocked? I'm not shocked Rog, I know you're a bit of a pansy. |
lol, just a case of Biggie not tickling my fancies.
and hey, I listen to Wu-Tang and Wu-Tang Clan ain't nuthin' to **** wit. |
lol, just a case of Biggie not tickling my fancies.

Speaking of Wu-Tang Clan, they're kicking my *** again.
ODB's verse in Da Mystery of Chessboxin' is so ****ing awesome. I also can't get Raekwon's opening line in that song out of my head... "Rough like Timberland wear, yeah!", lol. And Method's chorus: "My peoples are you with me where you at? In the front, in the back killa-bees on attack my peoples are you with me where you at? Smokin meth hittin caps on the block with the gats" Damn. Soliciting advice regarding Wu-Tang albums post-Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). |
Wu-Tang only or solo as well?
|
Just Wu-Tang for now. Already made a bit of progress on the first round of solo material.
|
Well, The W is alright, nothing too spectacular though. Same with Iron Flag really. That's all I've heard.
Make sure you get Fishscale for the solo ones, if you haven't already. |
Fishscale and Supreme Clientele.
Also get Liquid Swords. |

Blue Sky Black Death & Hell Razah's Razah's Ladder is one of the best Wu releases in years.
Just Wu-Tang for now. Already made a bit of progress on the first round of solo material.
how much progress? Liquid Swords, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... and Ironman are particularly nice. |
Yah, thanks team, I'll keep all those recommendations in mind.
Have listened to Liquid Swords, love it. Regarding Only Built 4 Cuban Lynx..., I'm not a big fan of it. I don't really pay much attention to lyrics, and the style of music on it doesn't appeal to me. Will have to hunt down Ironman. |
Any Black Star fans?
|
Me!
Also, Cuban Lynx is kinda dull. |
Is Mos Def worth checking out? If so, what album should I start with?
|
Get Black on Both Sides, then download the track "The Rape Over". That's about all you need.
edit: oh and Black Star and "Oh No" with Pharoahe Monch and Nate Dogg too of course. |
I I knew the bitch for ten minutes of her life
But the pussy was good! Yes the pussy was good! I just want you to know girl! :( |
Those lyrics don't really flow somehow

Get Lifestylez Ov Da Poor & Dangerous, it's awesome. |
Any Black Star fans?
Hell yeah. Black Star is great. Mos Def's solo album, Black on Both Sides, is good too. I still haven't heard any of Talib Kweli's solo albums. Any recommendations as to which album of his I should start with? |
cuban lynx>liquid swords
What genre is Mobb Deep and what was that show on MTV or MTV 2 that showed urban music on Saturday or Sunday nights?
|

|
Listening to Eminem for the first time in aaages, still quality stuff.
|
Which album? I love the production on his albums, nice and crisp, clean bass.

Random songs from SS LP, MM LP, and TES, obviously his three best. Some of his lyrics are really really fucking awesome. I'd forgotten how much fun some of his stuff is too, and yeah, the production is great. |
New Immortal Technique is pretty good. Some repetitive stuff in there though.
