Oh, I have not yet begun to sass.... :D

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 08-27-2004 01:25 PM

just got back from midus:

"Well your front brakes are fine, i didnt see any problem, the squealing was just a build up of brake dust, the real problem is in the rear. You have a leak in the break line, it leaked into the rear drums and they were subject to intense corosion, im gonna have to take them apart to get to the pads wich are destroyed, taking them apart will destroy them, so i have to rebuild both of the rear breaks and wheel bracings, new drums, lines, pads, lugs, nuts, fluid, seals, everything, your looking at 548 dollars." "The good news is that I dont see a problem with the master cylinder at this time"

It will be finished by dinner.

So do you have the money?
Ojne truss? explain what a truss is what it does and what the disidvantages of only having 1 is,
the truss rod adjusts the neck tension, and most six strings have two, one might be a little flimsy, and probably won't last as long.... I'm assuming that you will upgrade in -under 5 years, so you won't have any problems.... not that I have any real experience, and I'm probably wrong, my stupidity is compelling though...

ScorpSath 08-27-2004 03:17 PM

I think it's gone so..... *cries*

e p 08-27-2004 03:24 PM

you trying from Ebay or the site itself? talk to Kurt, he'll help you out. Kurt is the guy who owns it, and if you email him though the "contact us" link at the site he'll tell you if they still have them, and when they are getting new ones in.

nisakss 08-27-2004 04:55 PM

Hi everyone. Has anybody in here seen This is the Spinal Tap documentary, it's hilarious, those guys are absolutley toasted, but nevertheless they are good musicians. There's a ong called big bottom that is played with three basses and the guitar, cool. Anybody else seen it?

e p 08-27-2004 06:44 PM

Hey guys.

I've gotten some extra money recently and I was just wondering if the Digitech BP200 is a good investment. I'm sure some of you have it(I know Bfag does), and I would just like your opinions on it and if it is a good buy.
Thanks.

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 08-27-2004 07:59 PM

yes its a great investment, i have gotten so much out of it, ask joz, supernaut, myung, and others who have it, read the review in the review section. :thumb:

ocdrumandbass 08-27-2004 08:31 PM

as an alternative, have a look at the Boss ME-50B. Just a suggestion. It is marginally more expensive though.

Foxfire 08-27-2004 11:05 PM

Top of the line Boss multieffects pedal, with amp modeler and XLR out.

Supposed to be a wonderful pedal, though it lacks a great Synth thing, and I've heard somewhere that Boss just threw on the Guitar wah from the GT-6, hoping people wouldn't notice.

e p 08-27-2004 11:06 PM

Well Ill probably just get the BP200 anyway.

Thanks guys.

hello scorp

Hey guys I got into a discussion with my dad (also plays bass) and we both thought differently about strings. (I'm so confused right now I dont remeber what I originally thought) But anyway, we argued over whether those smooth strings(usually on a fretless) are roundwounds or flatwounds(I think I thought yes I'm not sure). So could someone please tell me what the difference between flatwounds and roundwounds are.

(pardon my overuse of parenthesis)

Noushi 08-27-2004 11:18 PM

The fretless usually has flatwounds. And the difference is just what it sounds like, I believe. Flat wounds have a flat surface and roundwounds are round.

Bass+Fingers+Amp=Groove 08-27-2004 11:32 PM
whats that?
a really really nice effect board. like the BP200 on steroids, it cost more than twice as much. :D

yo yo, anyone here have a band with recordings?

e p 08-27-2004 11:51 PM

Somewhat,yes.

But also no. I understand the materials that make them now but Im talking about the texture. Are roundwounds the nice smooth kind or the kinds that are rough and "wound" around the core making it appear rough?

Noushi 08-27-2004 11:56 PM

Roundwounds are wrapped with a round wire, making them appear rough.

Thank you very much.

Actually they weren't a real band but due to the sucsess of the movie they became a real band. Im sure they put out an album, and i've seen them live on tv a couple of times.

JoeDaddio 08-28-2004 12:55 AM

Christopher Guest and Michael McKean are on TV all the time :p
