is it uncool to really dig vital remains? because i really do

then again i also think the new deicide is their best
I really like them and I agree about Deicide.
Just a general question here...What's your guys opinion on #12?
Grind or not?
I enjoy them, but most folks around here consider them Scenegrind, which is grindcore played by people with white belts on, lol.

RetiredAt21 02-27-2008 03:10 PM
Really? Why? I think they're really good, especially their old EP's and Mongrel.

I was just wondering what people would classify them as.
The music they play makes them scenegrind. Lots of dissonant nonsense and "breakdowns."

Txus 02-27-2008 03:13 PM

scenegrind is such a bullshit term.

RetiredAt21 02-27-2008 03:15 PM

Not really. Lots of bands fit quite well under that category. The only scenegrind band I like is Operator Dead:Post Abandoned. They are SO good. Destroyer Destroyer's old stuff is really good, too. That dude could do the most high pitched vocals ever. Mad cool.

AA-12 02-27-2008 03:16 PM

scenegrind is definitely a genre.

Yeah dude Destroyer Destroyer has some crazy vocals.

I like scenegrind.

No. Those scenegrind bands would NEVER admit to being scenegrind. They think they are tr00 grind.

I've never been on a forum that has been so extremely technical about genres.
"Scenegrind"? I'll add it to my vocab.

RouteOne 02-27-2008 04:40 PM
What bands do you like?
These may not all be scenegrind, but i'll try:

War From A Harlot's Mouth
See You Next Tuesday
The Red Chord
Robotosaurus
Daughters
The Number 12 Looks Like You
Heavy Heavy Low Low
The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza
Genghis Tron

They're all kinda scene bands that have grind stuff in them. Thus: Scenegrind!
