i bet this sucks.

Happymeal 06-08-2009 10:58 AM

Doesn't really matter to me. I eat that shit up regardless

It'd be nice if a certain band got back together though.

niobium 06-08-2009 12:11 PM
been diggin american footballs s/t

all his post NOU stuff has been dumb and progressively worse with time. i actually like the make up but weird war is just like a worse "the make up" and chain and the gang just sounds like a worse weird war...

Happymeal 06-08-2009 01:27 PM

No I see where you're coming from. I didn't really care much for Weird War myself but I thought Chain & The Gang picks up where Make Up left off minus a lot of the swagger, which I can dig.

Since bands that pay homage to other bands are all the rage now I'm not against the possibility that someone else can do a lot better than what Refused/T(I)NC/Dennis Lyxzen ever did.

Wilco - Wilco (The Album)

I like it, think I might have downloaded a transcode or something though because the quality's not too great even though it says its at 256 VBR

Liebensaft 06-09-2009 04:20 PM

Yeah, the version I have isn't the best quality either. Speaking of which, are there any copies of Veckatimest floating around that aren't transcodes of the original terrible quality leak? There's some on Sordo that purport to be 320kbps and whatnot. Lies.

Wipers - Is This Real?

cbmartinez 06-09-2009 04:36 PM

new dirty projectors is ridiculously good, maybe my fave of the year. other than that massive amounts of pocahaunted, bill callahan (his new album is okay, a little boring, good lyrics)

YourBiggestFan 06-09-2009 05:04 PM

that is a great album.
I've gotten back into In Ghost Colors. So awesome.

Really? I don't think I've heard it yet, but I downloaded it awhile ago. Rise Above was pretty gnar though. They were cool when I saw them live.

honourosis 06-09-2009 09:30 PM

anyone have a link for the new dirty projectors?

Liebensaft 06-09-2009 11:23 PM

new dirty projectors isn't doing anything for me

thurlow 06-10-2009 11:50 PM

Been listening to Grizzly Bear's Veckatimest on repeat since I picked it up.

And re-discovering Arcade Fire's "Neon Bible."

A new band that I love is birdlips. Their album, "Cardboard Wings," is amazing. Seeing them live is what makes it, though.

My fave of theirs is "Tire Chains."

Liebensaft 06-11-2009 12:35 AM

Casiotone. Almost forgot about him.

i forgot how to download music

Liebensaft 06-12-2009 03:44 PM

I've been bookmarking music blogs a lot lately and I have so much new music that I don't know what to do. I just download things with cool covers/descriptions/names. This is better than sordo. I usually just investigate any of the blog links people put on there. I'll probably check out Tobacco next, as I'm downloading that right now. Good? y/n?

Zmev 06-12-2009 04:01 PM

Hell yes.
