BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-03-2005 10:31 PM
Schyma would do every bit of acid and shrooms in the world if he had the chance.
No, because then I'd die and I hear dying isn't much fun at all. :(

I seriously thought about drinking some magic tea on the first day but decided aginst it because I couldn't find any shrooms the day before. :(

I want some acid soooooo bad though.

BludgeonySteve 09-03-2005 10:32 PM

I'd like to try it, but I just know it will mess me up so I wont.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-03-2005 10:44 PM

I don't get why people are so afraid of a little LSD. I mean flash backs are extremly rare, it DOES NOT burn holes in your brain and you can't go insane off just one trip. Some people (like Brian Wilson) have been psycologicaly hurt by a bad trip but even that's very uncommon. Bad trips period aren't common. They aren't as big on mind fucking (anyone that has ever done shrooms should know what that feels like) but they're more for visuals. Or at least from what I've heard. I know what a bad shroom trip feels like so I feel I could even stand a bad acid trip. I'm ready for it. :D

adioviva 09-03-2005 10:52 PM

the only thing ill say that will really mess you up is crack. i did freakin heroin once, and crack is still way worse. I smoked crack once and i woke up and i had urinated all over myself. it was a bad scene man, and i was wearing american flag boxers, do you think the fbi is after me now?!?!??!?!?!?!?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-03-2005 11:01 PM

Heroin and crack? ****, I'm not one to promote any anti drug rallies here but you need help. You're doing some some extremly addictive and horrible drugs there and are in need of a new avatar and some help. :thumb:

BludgeonySteve 09-03-2005 11:06 PM

Yeah, seriously. Don't just do any **** you come across. Doing drugs like that will mess you up bad. A few shrooms and some weed never hurt anyone, but those are highly addictive and terribly unhealthy substances (heroin, crack, cocaine, all of that crap)

adioviva 09-03-2005 11:07 PM

Don't worry, i dont touch meth

i saw that movie spun and i dont want to look like john leguizamo or jerk off into a sock or have my girlfriend poop all over the place. that would suck
i remember seeing that on the list , i wasnt in it because im pretty big on not replying on threads ya dont like , even though that was an unnecessary thread.
That thread came out in August of 2004. Unless you have an alternate account, you've never thought about posting in it. It was closed after 3 days of non stop flaming of the threadstarter (and the occasional "I agree").

Pyschedelia is associated with classic rock. And drugs are of course associated with pyschedelia.

Drugs are bad. Mmkay.

JonG 09-03-2005 11:42 PM

I'm in love with "Peaches en Regalia", love the many sounds of Zappa.

Also, "Mississippi Queen", love that tone.
I don't like Blind Faith very much. It just seems so crappy compared to everything else that Eric Clapton ever did.
I'll excuse you because I'll assume you say that having never heard any of his solo albums (which are just brutal except the Unplugged album).

JonG 09-04-2005 12:44 AM

My mom brought home the new EC album. I haven't listened to it yet.

When did it come out? Let us know how it is.

JonG 09-04-2005 12:56 AM

It came out August 30th. I will listen to it now.

Just listening to bits and pieces, seems to be more of an upbeat, kind of album. Couple of slow songs, love his tone. The vocals are a bit different.

But, I was never a fan of his solo work. I'm not one to judge.

Ulysses 09-04-2005 02:32 AM

I'm a big fan of Blind Faith, if it wasn't for the ego problems I think they may have gone on to create some exceptional music, it was a good mix of talent. "Sea of Joy" and "Can't Find My Way Home" are my favourite tracks off their only album. Coming from a Clapton point of view, he wasn't playing his best material on the album but as a group I think it is quite an accomplished album.

Illmatic 09-04-2005 02:37 AM

One thing I am thankful for about this thread: You guys completely changed my opinion on Neil Young :) The guy is fantastic
One thing I am thankful for about this thread: You guys completely changed my opinion on Neil Young :) The guy is fantastic
Yeah I listened to Everybody Knows This is Nowhere about an hour ago....I think that's my favourite album of his.

Ulysses 09-04-2005 05:27 AM

I like his both his solo work and with Crosby, Stills and Nash, terrific songwriter. I was listening to the album "Comes A Time" not so long ago, its a solid record though one of my favourite of his songs would have to be Ohio, nice track that.

DeusExMachina 09-04-2005 07:43 AM

I like Neil Young, and definitely like his work in CSNY. I'm not as big a fan of Crosby Stills and Nash without Young though. It's good, but what I've heard of it doesn't strike me as amazing.

I was actully high when I wrote that too.

Maybe because Pink Floyd happens to belong to this classification of highly diverse music. :)

Random: A few days ago my BCIS teacher let us play Hot Rats (because she's into nstrumental Jazz) and it's probablly the first time a teacher has ever played a Frank Zappa album to a class room. I'm glad I could be a part of it. :)

Metallifan85 09-04-2005 08:37 AM

Nah, I had a teacher who played Hot Rats too, actually. It was the first time I heard Zappa.

It was in a music class though, not like in the middle of physics or anything,

I love that album. It's a great album to use as an intro to Zappa , too.

PinkFreud 09-04-2005 09:49 AM

its fairly accessible, not too weird, and shows off his bands awesome technical talent.

ATM 09-04-2005 09:56 AM

It also shows Frank's skill on the guitar. A lot of people don't know how good of a player he was.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-04-2005 10:03 AM

It was his first solo project that prooved Zappa wasn't just a freak with a freakish band to match. It showed his skills as a composer rather than his off color lyrics just a really great album here. :)

NP: Willie the Pimp - Frank Zappa

ATM 09-04-2005 10:05 AM

Wasn't he listed as like 70 something in Rolling Stones greatest guitarists list?

My dad and I were laughing at how bad the list was.

PinkFreud 09-04-2005 10:06 AM

the fact that joan jett was on it at all completely discredited it. haha.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 09-04-2005 10:16 AM

Kurt Cobain was like in the top 10.

Was Jeff Beck on it? What was he?

Glitterati 09-04-2005 10:18 AM

Kurt Cobain?

He said himself he was sloppy

The list is a joke. Beck was like 14, but Gilmour 82

wtf
