Yeah, I'm going to try to go see it. I think this may set the recored for the most number of people stoned during a broadway show.

I'm looking forward to it.

Roger had more control this time in writing the show, so the mood is going to be more humerous and subtle than the movie which was just really depressing.

I'd definetly go if he reunites with Gilmour and they put aside their differences to play the show

/not gonna happen.

Thats everyone's favorite line! That line = rock 'n' roll.

I'd love to go see The Wall on broadway.

I would too, or anything classic-rock related on broadway, esp. if "We Will Rock You" hits NYC

I wanna see Spamalot.

ATM 05-09-2005 07:57 PM

I'd like to see Spamalot too. Hank Azaria is great.

that would be sweet.

that is, if I haven't already killed myself after learning that Avril Lavigne and Hilary Duff have disgraced wonderful songs.

I also heard there was going to be a broadway show about John Lennon

look what i do for you guys. uploading a song here so you dont have to check dboons thread. this is an excellent example of becks talent. in case you cant recognize his tone, he solos first. try to ignore mclaughlin for now, but definitely come back to him later. theyre both amazing and mclaughlin should definitely be in this top 5 but this could also be used as evidence for becks greatness.

Those are 2 of the greatest guitarists of all time. Can't wait to download it. :)

PinkFreud 05-09-2005 09:18 PM

you should love it. jazz fusion at its most intense finest.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 05-09-2005 09:19 PM

For some more Mclaughlin see here aswell:

http://www.italway.it/morrone/WBTG-videos.htm

Has a lot of variety, too. Several versions of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, solo concerts, duets with Paco de Lucia and Al DiMeola. After watching several of them, I concluded that he is, in fact, not human. I'm not sure what, but he ain't human.

PinkFreud 05-09-2005 09:21 PM

agh! thank you! ive been looking for that link for forever.

pigonthewing82 05-09-2005 09:21 PM

John Mclaughlin is really amazing, I wish more people knew about him.

PinkFreud 05-09-2005 09:37 PM

Umm, let me put it this way. I appreciate the skill, but the music bores me. I can listen to jazz, I can listen to blues, rock, bluegrass, folk, classical...basically anything. But for some reason music like that (fusion or whatever you wanna call it), just bores the hell outta me. Cool tone though, and they both had some great licks.

So I had my auditions today for a Battle of the Bands, we played Sunshine of Your Love...the song didn't go bad (it was all emo/hardcore bands there anyways), although i couldn't hear the bass, and we didn't have a rhythm guitarist, so my solo was sorta odd in terms of timing. I mostly just improvised it except for a few key parts. It went well though.

i can understand that. i wasnt sure how much luck i would have posting it in the classic rock thread anyway but yeah. i mainly put it up to show the skills of beck.

The deed is done I have downloaded Jake Holme's 1st version of "Dazed and Confused" and I'm probably the youngest person alive to hear it.

Yeah, I definitely can see the skill. I've actually never heard much by Beck, so I'm glad I heard this. He's not exactly my kinda player though (he did rock and/or blues too though right? I'd probably love that)

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 05-09-2005 10:59 PM

What's up with that "Thread" you just made?
