BassVirt, how are they rip offs of PRS? If someone commissions a inlay, they make it.
The dragon inlay looks exactly like PRS's Dragon guitar.

It depends on who does it. Certain inlay places'll charge a couple grand. If you go to a luthier who's not trying to charge an exhorbitant price and it's not too excessive, it's not necessarily that much. A 4" (that's inches; I was looking into a "slapguard" on a custom bass) by 4" block inlay by Dave Pushic is about 100~ in Mother of Pearl.

bottlerocket 12-12-2004 12:51 PM

Anyone but me sick of all the "What bass do I get?" threads...

:upset:

This is why I always hang out in here...it's the vets and big posters (I'm not a vet and not one of the better-known MXers, but I post a hell of a lot, :p), which is cool.

Thoughts, concerns, opinions, doubts, disagreements?

If I got a mother of pearl inlay similar to that of the Schecter C 1 Classic (the rose/vine thing travelling up the fretboard), how much would that be?

:thumb:

Foxfire 12-12-2004 12:53 PM

Well see, Dave Pushic said 100~ dollars because it was on the body and he was making it from scratch.

After a while, this forum gets so damn repetitive. The bass war thing was cool, but that's kinda stopped now I just kinda chill around here.
