It's just his whole whinny I'm king sh*t rock star attitude.
After seeing SKOM a few times I felt like killing the man. When you're a musician that's going into a studio to make an album, you're there to do your job. He's got like 3 other people depending upon him to bring some creative ideas to the table and all he wants to do is just sit there and jerk off. It seemed like James had to come up with all these ideas on his own, with a little help from kirk, and Lars got to sit around with a thumb up his @$$ not doing his fair share of the work. This is so unprofessional that it sickens me.
 You talkin about the part where Hes at one end ot the table, then he ends up in James' face saying "Fuck,.....Fuck! Thats all that comes to my mind Fuck" |

Because of how loud we were. So he has soft spot :p ...jks about the soft spot. |
Have you seen his bass solo from the Bell Tolls vid on www.metallica.com . In a word, it owns  and I hate that word. He plays one like it when they played download festival, its so thick with the overdrive.
You mean the solo he did before FWTBT? I saw that. It was great, it was a bit short though. I just hope metallica will let rob and use his work on their next CD. |

Unfortunately I find that hard to believe. He only cares about himself, plus most every other big band says that but they don't really mean it. Unless it's their hometown of course. |

I dont want to be like " my city is better then yours " or anything like that but, Montreal is generaly a loud place when it comes to stuff like that. But I get your point though. |
Let's address some stuff.
Rob's solos on Bellz aren't that good. That doesn't mean, however, that he's not a good bassist, but an intermediate player can play that stuff before FWtBT. Jordison is a good drummer, he just doesn't have to show it in Slipknot. Tr00f. Listen to the RR United album. Hammett hasn't been a good soloist for 20 years. Most of his solos now are wah-drenched, even live solos that weren't wah'd on the records. Nice use of skill, Kirk. If he was such a great player, why are his solos all wah-drenched now? Somebody said that Hammett is a better guitar player than Hetfield. No, just...no. Hetfield wrote all of the material except the solos up to and including the self-titled album. This makes Kirk better...how? Because he can solo up and down the pentatonic scale 30 different ways from Sunday? Logic is fun. |

But I get your point though.
Yeah, but generally speaking LA can be pretty freakin' crazy!!! You should've seen the mosh pit that was goin' on when I saw SYL and FF. I can only imagine what it would be like if thrash bands like Slayer and Metallica played here again. |

:amaze: You're not a Slayer fan!!!! For shame!!!! J/k. I just want to see metallica live for once. It would be so awesome. I've got a buddy of mine that is willing to take me to a bunch of concerts as long as I buy my own ticket. Hopefully they'll get their heads out of their @$$es long enough to tour. Even if it means listening to that speedballing monkey named lars play drums. |

"Supposedly" Some Kirk Hammett riffs... Got it off the net somewhere. Do you reckon its him? |
Not really sure what I started here but we've gotta get back on topic here soon.
What Metallica have you been listening to lately? I've been diggin' KEA a lot right at the moment. I found that kirk's soloing was the best here. It was simplistic yet highly effective. If you don't believe me listen to the slow solo to the Four Horsemen. |

Began playing along again to some too. Yeah that solo is realy cool. Im stuck on the song AJFA right now. Such a good song.. |
I actually havnt chucked on a Metallica cd in a long while.. Trying to stop myself from gettin sick of the band, because I listened to each album everynight for ages.
But last album i listened to was KEA also, as I was trying to learn Jump In The Fire. Wicked song. |
Even though it's a basic song, I was really diggin' the lyrics to both Motorbreath and Whiplash.
I don't know why they don't write lyrics like that anymore. |
I feel like such a fanboy! I've got my old avatar back!!
