1 and a half years is nothing to balk at, and is an accomplishment for a releationship at a young age for sure. Hopefully you've learned more then you think from the time.

She has always been a guilty person, I think youve pretty much got it spot on actually. We're only 17, and I had come to terms with the fact it was never gonna last forever. But Its been a pretty clean break up (well, its meant to just be a "break", but lets not kid ourselves here) and I think we're gonna stay friends which is good, and ive certainly learned a lot

I agree with you about the speeding, just saying, hypocrisy isn't cool. However, the speed limits are rather absurdly low in most parts of the US, so slight speeding is not particularly dangerous. Its the excessive stuff thats bad. Oh, and detectors aren't illegal in most parts of the US, at least not in Maryland. Oh, and they don't use lidar all over the US, only in the places that have very high police budgets.

So i saw that Zappa plays Zappa concert where Frank's son plays his music. It was AMAZING. They opened with one of Frank's concerts playing the song about dental floss, i forgot the name of it. Then after that Dweasle and the band came out and played a bunch of songs, then talked to us, then played more songs. Then he brought out Terry Bozzio! But he was injured and didn't play drums, which pissed me off, but he did sing. He isn't good at singing, let me tell you. Then at the end of his set, he went and played drums one handed with the other drummer, so that was kind of cool, but sinc eit was one handed it wasn't the best playing. Then bozzio left and Steve Vai came out and he did an awesome solo. Then they played another video of Frank playing and Dweasle was playing with it, it was cool. We had a massive encore also, the whole band came out with Steve Vai and Terry Bozzio. Then bozzio did a cool solo one handed and that ended the whole show. 8:00 to 11:05. 3 hours of solid playing, i was amazed. SOO worth it.

a mate of mine has been going on about his band, which needed a drummer, for some time.

so toay i finally loaded my kit into my car, picked him up and headed to the bassists house, which is in the middle of nowhere.

we all gelled really well, it sounded awesome, no noise complaints, and none of us *** around playing smoke on the water and other random riffs all he time...

I ahte playing with a band that has been a band for a while lol, its sooo hard to fit in

Since I've passed school I'm allowed to take lessons again.
Now that's time to choose, I've got no clue.

I can't choose between drums, saxophone, or bass.
I've never had formal training in bass, but I think my hands are too small for it. On my keyboard, I can stretch my hand from the z key to the : key. Thats as far as I can get.
But I'd like to learn at least 1 fretted instrument. I don't listen to any really bass oriented music, aside from the occasional Primus, and I don't want to suffer the dumb looks when they ask me to bring in a song to learn.

I want an instrument that will make me learn theory better. I have no idea what I'm doing with chords or modes, and I've never actually truly improvised. Bass and sax are the answer to that.

I'm actually probably going to take drums again in the future, so it's more down to bass and sax. =/

What about Piano or Violin? Violin would be cool

I can go from Z key to backspace :cool:

anyway I'd go for bass, just because it kinda goes hand in hand with drums

I dislike piano.

But I love violin, except I haven't got one, and I've no money to buy one.

Actually, I love violin when it's played skillfully.
I can't stand new players or players who suck, because the god awful, high pitched crap sound just gags me. I guess that wouldn't make me a good candidate for it.

Whoever invented the Violin had the right idea to not include frets. I recently defretted a cheapo guitar. The sustain is much shorter and the tone is softer. But I swear Theres so many more possibilities with the micro tones.

I saw some blues band on thursday and the bassist was using a fretless bass, he could do some serious shi‪t on that beast

If I do take bass, I'll probably end up buying a fretless for my next bass.
