[QUOTE=masscows;16685962]don't worry about it, especially if you had just met her that night

I'm still debating whether I should see Kamelot in a few weeks. I'm already going to Iced Earth and Opeth shows, so I don't know if it's worth it.

Me buying Clipse tickets:

"I'll take two."
"Okay, I can't say I happy about it though"
"Um, what?"
"Our school always gets crappy bands."
"What would you prefer?"
"They need to like...dig up Kurt Cobain...and like...get him in front of a microphone."
"lol"

Kamelot is always worth it live dude, Khan is a beast.

Thor 09-16-2008 01:00 PM

I only have one of their albums though so I don't think I'd get that much out of it.

encmetalhead 09-16-2008 01:01 PM

anyone heard the new Straylight Run yet? It's pretty amazing, Wait and Watch is a tad bit behind the other two songs though

Thor 09-16-2008 01:03 PM

no but if you like it then it's probably lame

Dimmu Burger 09-16-2008 01:04 PM

A Thousand Miles Of **** is the greatest song ever written, tbh.

repcak 09-16-2008 01:29 PM

Guitar is so much fun, if you don't shred :)

McP3000 09-16-2008 01:35 PM

well ive never heard that before

repcak 09-16-2008 01:38 PM

I always practised tons of shred-material... now, after I haven't played much in 2008, I started again and decided to start with "easy" material and just good, nice songs with great riffs -> Damage Done by Dark Tranquillity and Conquer All by Behemoth.
Its fun to play it... more fun than to play the intro of Inferno (Unleash The Fire) by Symphony X

botb 09-16-2008 02:18 PM

I wish I could shred... the closest I come to shredding is sweep picking.

repcak 09-16-2008 02:21 PM

shred is just a matter of speed.

botb 09-16-2008 02:33 PM

indeed, and when it comes to speedy stuff. i phail

repcak 09-16-2008 02:38 PM

I had to practise so much to achieve my skills that in the end it wasn't even a joy to play guitar. Now after such a long break of half a year and after less time I decided to change to plain, simple riffs :)

Altmer 09-16-2008 02:49 PM

Are you saying you don't?

Correction 09-16-2008 04:24 PM

my town is too poor for yacht clubs

Kingofdudes 09-16-2008 04:32 PM

We have yacht clubs at home, but then again it is the gulf coast

edit: ugh, not looking forward to physics lab

pate 09-16-2008 04:35 PM

I had surveying lab today. It wasn't bad, and it was quite nice outside.

masscows 09-16-2008 04:37 PM

what exactly do you do in surveying? 2 of my friends tried to explain it to me but theyre high all the time so I didnt really get anything valuable about it from them

pate 09-16-2008 04:43 PM

There are a whole bunch of different things.

You can use a 100ft steel tape to measure distances. You stretch it out and put a stake in the ground at the end of the tape, then move the tape on and so on.

Today we were doing leveling, which deals with height above sea level. You start from a known benchmark and one guy stands somewhere else with a rod sticking straight up and you look through this machine and get the height reading, and then move the machine and do it again. Then you leave the machine there and move the rod and do the same, and so on.
