what's happenin everybody?
I am looking for good examples of Rap-Country. Got three examples already. |
does beatles - across the universe have a bassline?
|
I like to call rap-country Crap.
... what? It works. |
does beatles - across the universe have a bassline?
Nope, it was just John and his acoustic guitar. |
Should I make this Who biography I just did a Featured Artist or not? I'm reluctant too because most FAs are about lesser known people, whereas everyone knows The Who.
|
I like to call rap-country Crap.

Well someone did an FA on The Doors and Guns N Roses, so I'd say go for it.
|

do you think it would ruin it if my band covered it with drums and bass? |

This is true. And The Who>both of them. I have a feeling I'll be hearing crap from a lot of people that The Doors>The Who. |
So you think Beck and The North Mississippi Allstars are "Crap"?
Well, your music taste just sucks then, now doesn't it?
Calm down 'Poon. It was a joke. |
do you think it would ruin it if my band covered it with drums and bass?
Just don't overdo it and you'll be okay. Remember that the key part of the song is John's vocals and guitar. |
Calm down 'Poon. It was a joke.
My respect for you has previously been shot; jokes are no longer excepted. ...joke |

I think you should, I mean a while ago sombody did a Pink Floyd one. While a lot of people know who the Who are, not as many know how big of an impact they had on rock. I think you should do one. |
Yeah, that was Med, he did a really good job with it.
|
so...what are some other examples of country-rap?..
|
Kid Rock did a bunch of occasionally interesting (IMO) Country Rap songs. Like "Cowboy".
There are other example; I'm sure. I just can't think of them. I was also told the Drive By Truckers had some Country Rap...ish kind of stuff. I only have one of their albums, and it doesn't really have any though. |

Wait, let me get this straight. You've actually had respect for Malcom at some point in time? ( :p ) |

If you like that "Cowboy" sound, you should check out his album "the history of rock" if you don't already have it. I bought it when i was younger and it's got some really interesting material on it. :thumb: |

Yea, I had that awhile ago. I thought is was pretty good back then. Same with Devil without a Cause. I liked that album a lot. |

Ya some of the stuff on those albums you listen to and you don't know whether you like it or not because it's so diverse in sounds, at least that's what i thought anyways. |

To Everyone: Feel free to cheak out my tribute to Nick Drake NP: Pharaoh's Dance - Miles Davis |

  that's good, let's go with that. |
Anyone here really familiar with a band named Chlliwack?
|
That has to be one of the most white trash songs I've heard.
Well, that is basically its concept. So apparently the writing got that idea through. "Strait outta Compton! I'm strait outta the trailor". I remember that line. |
Hearing that song makes me want to wash my hands it's so trashy.
Every regular here needs to give all material done by Miles Davis a good listin or two. Edit: Fix'd. :) |
Every regular here needs to give just about all material done by Miles Davis a good listen or two.
Fix'd. |
