GurS 07-20-2006 06:02 AM

I'm thinking of getting a DS...

Thoughts, anyone?

Thats hilarious.

Nightvision 07-20-2006 06:17 AM

I'd get a 360, but I can't warrant paying out for the 360 and then forking out for the HDTV as well. I'll probably wait 6 months for the price of HDTVs to come down, and hopefully there'll be a few more interesting games for it by then as well.

GurS 07-20-2006 06:21 AM

I may buy a Wii just for the sake of the new smash bros....

But I'll wait for them to be cheap on ebay

Patrick O))) 07-20-2006 06:27 AM

I want a Wii. And also a 360, but that can wait a while, so hopefully they wont be so expensive

I understand you could get a 360 and a Wii for the price of a PS3?

Nightvision 07-20-2006 06:35 AM

Yeah, the PS3's going to cost a bomb at first... it always does, because there will always be idiots who buy it out of blind loyalty and hype. They could be asking £1000 a unit, and the thing would still sell out in hours.

Once the initial craze calms down, the price will drop like a stone.

AG 07-20-2006 06:43 AM

Screw PS3, I'm after a Wii.

/poet

Patrick O))) 07-20-2006 06:46 AM

^^^ troo dat

To be honest, there's nothing you can get on a ps3 that you can't on a 360. Yeah, the titles are different, but it's all the same difference.

At least Nintendo try something a bit different

Dead Star 07-20-2006 06:46 AM

I want a Wii too.

My mate was like, who needs tilt control when you have a good old dualshock. Then I tell him that the PS3 controller has it too, and he's like....:upset:

PAJJ 07-20-2006 06:46 AM

I think the wii will be pretty cool, it seems to be following the idea of the ds which is a great thing.

I just watched big fish, thought it was a brilliant movie.

i bought one last week, it's amazing, stupidly addictive, only problem is the amount of games i want for it means it's pretty expensive :-/

Nightvision 07-20-2006 06:49 AM

What's the WiFi thing with the DS all about - how good is it? How does it work? How far does it reach?

/twenty questions

PAJJ 07-20-2006 06:54 AM

well either you need a wireless router, or you can buy a usb plug in thing for the computer but it'll only work with the ds not any other wifi devices, i think it'd depend on the device how far it works, but it's easy to use, just stick it in and click the menu option on the game.

Jon 07-20-2006 07:08 AM
I want a Wii too.
I want a Wii just for all the innuendos.

"Can I play with your Wii"
"I really need a Wii"

etc

hah.

MOTHS ARE GOING TO DIE.

ARGH.

I couldn't sleep last night because everytime I turned my TV and light off a load of them were buzzing around my room. So I was up until 6am trying to kill them all with an ice hockey stick and an old copy of Terrorizer.

Fucking wankers.

Mexican Bandito 07-20-2006 08:20 AM

Hey guys
I've had a great couple of days.
Last night was the bbq/party. All the old schoolers showed up and we ended up talking about old times. I got compleatly wrecked and did some stuff! >_>

Then at work this morning we caught a shop lifter then there was a powercut in our store so we had to shut shop for a few hours because the tills were down: the rumour going about was that this guy had held us all at gunpoint!
Then I was chatted up by a Canadian guy. Came home at 230ish, realised I didn't have my keys and had to sit on the back step until 4 to get in! And it's raining. I'm so hXc!
So yeah... fun!

Dead Star 07-20-2006 08:21 AM

Hey Zowe, sounds like you had a good time haha.

I found my old Snes, and Battletoads. :D:D

Green stuff? YAY.

How's everyone? I had a big headache, but it's gone now, wahoooooo. I <3 Paracetamol.

PAJJ 07-20-2006 08:44 AM

I hot and sweaty, i was only jamming a couple of songs, stood right infront of a fan, and i'm still dripping, i think i'll go to the beach later, bet the sea is lush today.
I got compleatly wrecked and did some stuff! >_>

drunken antics eh?

Mexican Bandito 07-20-2006 08:49 AM

Ewww B.O boy! ^^ hehe

Hell yeah drunken antics. They involved me washing peoples feet and writing all over the bathroom walls with shaving foam and proceeding to slip in it and smash my back on the bath!! Lots of dancing (of course) The gas leaking in the bbq and then getting told I put my hand down my friends trousers and grabbed his bum WHICH I DIDN'T DO  I only put my thumb through his belt loop!

Lord Abortion 07-20-2006 08:53 AM

Off to work in a bit...meeeh

Fun stuff :)

I have band rehearsal tonight and I don't have any money to pay for it, but I didn't pay for the last one either so they just told me to bring beer today to make up for it but I don't have any money for beer.

Mmhmm.

Dead Star 07-20-2006 09:08 AM

You have to pay for Band rehersal Jon?

PAJJ 07-20-2006 09:20 AM

i'm guessing they have to pay for rehersal space/room.

Maybve perhaps you should get some money maybe

Jon 07-20-2006 09:43 AM

That would probably be a good idea, yeah :)

Argh, we've got a bassist tonight so I think its going to be £38 including backline between the five of us :(

£38?
That's rediculous.

So my game came today, twice.

So I'm selling one on Ebay.

Jon 07-20-2006 11:26 AM

Sure, £24 from 9-12, which is very very cheap, plus £2/hour for each amp, and £1/hour for the drums.

Or so I do believe.

Auberge le Mouton Noir 07-20-2006 11:29 AM

£2 an hour for an amp but £1 an hour for drums?

That's not only rampantly homosexual in price propertions, it's also a little weird that amps cost twice as much as drums...

Jon 07-20-2006 11:34 AM

I think thats what it is, I'm not certain.

Place that my other band is now rehearsing in is £45 including full backline from 11am-6pm every Saturday, I think that rocks :)

Try Mill Hill. The prices vary, but it's pretty damn cheap during the offpeak times, and it includes drums, one bass & one guitar amp, and three mics. You can get a decent-sized room for like 4 quid an hour off-peak times.
