correct. though i not sure if your definition of uni is the same as mine here in the states.
if i remember correctly canadians have something like high school, college then uni. or something like that. college which comes after highschool is what i'm in right now, though the college i'm in is a state univeristy. (if that makes any sense) |
I'm in BC and it's just high school then university or college. People who go to college usually end up transferring to university.
What program are you in? |
studying pre-engineering, mostly calculus and physics. then i'm transfering after next year to major in either civil engineering or architectual engineering.
how about yourself? |
Engineering. We all have the same first year. I'm hoping to get into mechanical engineering next year. They don't have a civil engineering program here for some reason. So yeah, lots of calculus and physics! We also have to take chemistry too for some reason.
|
hell yeah. i'm putting off on chemistry until i get some of this phy and cal out of the way. taking phy, cal, and chem at the same time is why several of my freinds have been failing test. i'm trying to keep my GPA up for when i transfer shcools.
|
I'm just trying to keep my GPA up so I can stay here. :upset:
|
haha. sounds like my friend. he's afraid he might be put on academic probation next fall.
he's no longer showing up to cal II because even if makes 100s on the next three test, he'll still only have a 65, and 100 for him (and me aswell) are just not possible. he got a 20 on the last test and decided to change his major. |
Ouch. That was like me last semester. Doing much better now though--of course those bad grades from before aren't going anywhere, though. But, I'm feeling good about my efforts--I seriously do put in a LOT--and my friend failed everything but one course. No, that doesn't make it better but man, that's crazy.
Well I'm gonna get going, gotta wake up for early CHEM TOMORROW!! :thumb: :( |
What age do you start college?
|
yeah i'm off to bed too. got cal II for my first class tommorow. good luck with everything.
What age do you start college?
not sure if you're talking to me or epi, but around here it's about 18. |
I'm business law and pyschology major's myself...
So I can sue you and then ask you how you feel about it. |
i finally got broadband...
after 8-9 years of the same old (but very damn good service) of dial-up, we've moved on. |
Welcome to life after dial-up.
I couldn't fathom going that slow at this point in the game. |
Josiah, convince me to buy the Yammies!! I need positive feedback from an owner because noone round my way has them.

Yamaha rules.
Lets see... ok they got hte best mounting system. YESS was introduced about 2 decades ago and was so well designed it's still used today, and still works amazing. While every other company has gone through constent changes... Not to mention, it's the smallest mounts, the most amount of the shell can be see. Also makes for excellent positioning possibilities. The drums sound amazing.. cause well they do. However they do it, they do. The finish work is supurb. I've never even heard of any flaw from any yamaha owner. The customer service is the best I've ever dealt with from ANY company. I called the rep to ask about getting the paint number for my kit so i could go buy some to touch up a few scratches - he had the factory send me a bottle for free. This was a custom color from years ago. How cool is that? The hardware is incredible, it's the same stuff I ride around on.. yamaha drum hardware is made in the same factory as the motorcycles. The new yamaha's have incredible options - aluminum milled lugs and rims, carbon fiber lugs, the noveua lugs are awesome.. just 1 hole in the shell and no more loosing washers or any such tension rods, etc. Great system they came up with. Super small too - again more drum to be seen. They can do any finish, any drum.. just a fantastic company as a whole. Every person I've met from the company has been very kind and their love of drums is impressively full. I got the chance to meet the owner, vp and the reps for the west coast.. while some did not speak english, they put up with my horribly broken japanese. Yamaha drums are also the most recorded drums. |
Thats what I like to hear! As I hardly have contact with drummers apart from MX, its hard to build up the courage. I'm going to put down money for a setup of Absolute Maple Nouveau's next payday. :)

hooray my username changed as i requested. thanks jimbo.

Now that's what I like to hear!! You'll not be dissapointed. Some finishes have a longer wait, it's worth it. |
I did advanced levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Not a good idea, i failed them all

HOLY DREAM THEATER!
I just got back from Toronto where i saw Dream Theater live. I had to sleep in my sister's dorm overnight because the bus left earlier then the show finished but whatever. Such an AWESOME show!! Three hours of sexual goodness! I was in the front row on the right balcony...i could have touched them if my arms were 10 feet long. It was so awesome. It was a 20th anniversary tour so they played a song from each album then most of octovarium and a rush cover. I don't have pics atm because they were taken with my sis's camera who is an hour and a half away...i'll get them soon... I picked up two shirts and a sexy poster...pics to come... Worst part is the migraine afterwards...but it was worth it because it was dream theater induced... |
wow sounds great.
