NP Anathema - A Natural Disaster

Very good song. The a capella section at the end is amazing.

NP Spiral Architect - Spinning

I like this band better than Dream Theater.

-Listy- 02-24-2005 01:36 PM

Quite sad really, i never noticed the name had changed, and it took me a while to realise where the hell this thread had gone, i never bothered to click it with the new name, and they say im slow...NEVER.

Distant Echoes 02-24-2005 01:37 PM

Whats up all?

I got out of school early because were sopposed to get a bunch of snow...but so far we dont even have a half inch.

I tried downloading those CDs i got yesterday, but the Rush and Deep Purple both were (unreadable) copies, so only those copies that i have can be read, and i have to return them next week. That really sucks, but im tryin to find ways to transfer the data into MP3 files. Whatever

I was tryin some cool stuff with my drum set earlier, hooking up some effects to it, like Reverb and Delay, and Rotary. I got some cool samples, but cant upload them...again

I don't really like them. Their bass sound annoys me. As does the singer :-/
Half-assed barre chords? I like jazz chords

/goes off to try and learn some PsyOpus

NP Talib Kweli - Gun Music
I can't play these kind of chords, it hurts my fingers.

Dancin' Man 02-24-2005 01:46 PM

What program should I get to program drums?

Distant Echoes 02-24-2005 01:47 PM

Chords are the only thing i can actually consistently get right on a guitar. I got that poster in my basement that names a bunch of different chords, but doesnt have any # chords. sort of sucks, but i have over 3000 chords on my computer, so i just check there :)

I got a chord book for Valentines Day. I use this also: http://www.chordfind.com/

Dancin' Man 02-24-2005 02:27 PM

I need a chord poster with everything. I play a lot of jazz chords and am still learning to name them properly and a reference on my wall would be nice.

Distant Echoes 02-24-2005 02:33 PM
I got a chord book for Valentines Day. I use this also: http://www.chordfind.com/
Ive come across that a few months ago, but i cant always be online so when i need a chord, i need to find out with references already in front of me.

And i just did the math.....exactly half my post are in this thread. Thats almost embarresing. Im gonna try to post more diversly now, unless the users in the D&P forums dont stop asking unrepetitive common sense questions. Thats were most of my intellegent post come from.

Interesing. It seems this thread is an easy way for higher postcount, that's what good discussion does to you.

Do you want something where you can write the part? or do you want pre-programed beats?

The first book is entitled The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Either but I mostly want to write my own.
Things like Cubase SX let you write your own drum parts.
There are some limitations, and they sound pretty fake but other than that they're ok.
What's the title of the first Hitchhiker's Guide book? It is a series, correct
The series is 'The Hith Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy'

The book titles are:
The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
The Resteraunt at the End of the Universe
Life, the Universe and Everything
So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
Mostly Harmless

In that order, I think.

Yep, that's correct. I need to read the last two. I've read them all, other than those, and they're classics.

munky_magik 02-24-2005 02:57 PM

All of the books are good, but I think the quality gets progressively worse throughout the series.

Huber 02-24-2005 02:58 PM

What are those books about? I could use some more material after I'm done Slaughterhouse Five

jpj 02-24-2005 02:59 PM

Alright, thanks guys. I think I'm gonna read The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy when I'm done with A Clockwork Orange.
