Nice. I really liked Symbolic, so I guess I ought to get Human, huh?

masscows 08-10-2007 08:46 PM
nile is my favorite old school death metal band
haha

i like nile though, theyre good in small doses.

btw coke, what'd you think of my first review?

Angmar 08-10-2007 08:52 PM

Oh you most certainly do need Human hbp its easily my favorite Death album.

LifeInABox 08-10-2007 08:53 PM

Yeah, that's what I've been hearing. I'll get it soon. Symbolic is my favorite, with Leprosy being a close second.

Tyler 08-10-2007 08:55 PM

by era:

leprosy
human i guess
sound of per

LifeInABox 08-10-2007 08:56 PM

Sound of Per sounds decent, but their drummer just queers me on it :(

Eliminator 08-10-2007 08:56 PM

yeah he queers me too wtf!!!!

Tyler 08-10-2007 08:56 PM

Richard Christy is an awesome drummer so I have no idea what you're talking about.

LifeInABox 08-10-2007 08:57 PM

He likes to uhh, expose himself to women in public/works on Howard Stern show.

Angmar 08-10-2007 08:58 PM

Yeah I see no problems with the drumming. TSOP gets too much crap tbh. Still a lot of people like it, but yeah.

Tyler 08-10-2007 08:58 PM
He likes to uhh, expose himself to women in public/works on Howard Stern show.
So what. He doesn't do that on the album

rattlehead42147 08-10-2007 08:58 PM
I already have the MORBID demo, I guess I might be arsed to get it just for the Mayhem. Funny how this kid is acting as if some random bootleg is an essential and groundbreaking metal release.
actually i was just surprised you had never heard it, and just trying to help.

LifeInABox 08-10-2007 09:00 PM
Yeah I see no problems with the drumming. TSOP gets too much crap tbh. Still a lot of people like it, but yeah.
I like how they were still progressing musicwise up until the day Chuck died. That is very cool.
I will not bother explaining why Opeth suck. If you believe that Opeth do anything other than suck massive donkey cõcks, you are too stupid to reason with, so I will not waste my time trying to convince you. If you are aware of the black hole of suckery that is Opeth, then you may be curious as to why anyone would ever like Opeth. Allow me to enlighten you.

Opeth fans are deluded into believing that Opeth is “deep”. This is generally because they are stupid enough to believe that any band which uses both distorted and acoustic guitars is “original”. They are also stupid enough to believe that a band which is too lazy to properly transition between acoustic and distorted and instead opts to record acoustic and distorted tracks separately and then randomly splice them back together is “groundbreaking”. Combine this with the fact that all Opeth songs are approximately 3 hours long (i.e. “epic” to your standard malldwelling Opeth fanboy) and Opeth are both “original”, “groundbreaking”, and “epic”. In the tiny vocabulary of an Opeth fan, the only word capable of describing something simultaneously “original”, “groundbreaking”, and “epic” is “deep”. A better description of Opeth would be “the soundtrack to a mallgoth’s life”.

Some Opeth fans also believe that Opeth is “heavy” or “intense”. My äss. No, literally. My äss. I’ve had diarrhea that’s more intense than Opeth. And the noises I heard that time were more interesting than anything Opeth have ever come up with.

In short, people like Opeth because they are stupid, and because of the clever marketing skills of Jewish record executives. I must admit, though, Opeth can come in handy during theology debates. The fact that Opeth exists is proof that THERE IS NO GOD.
... but then explains in full detail. well said btw

LifeInABox 08-10-2007 09:03 PM

Did you get my command Rattle? It wasn't a suggestion btw...

Angmar 08-10-2007 09:04 PM

I don't see how its well said, he just bassically shows he doesnt like them becase they arent tr00 death metal and their popular. Its nothing spectacular.

rattlehead42147 08-10-2007 09:05 PM

second paragraph i thought was good. im not much for bashing jews so i hated the rest.
although i will make this clear i completely disagree with everything he said i just thought he stated his opinion well.

Tyler 08-10-2007 09:08 PM

he was totally wrong and ridiculous but it was very well written i agree with everything except for the parts i disagree with tee hee

rattlehead42147 08-10-2007 09:09 PM

^thats what im saying. i love opeth with a passion but i was turned off by them at first.
anyway since this is the death thread i command someone to discuss carnage's dark recollections.

Eliminator 08-10-2007 09:11 PM

it's solid. the reissue has two of their earlier demos which range from at least interesting to pretty decent

Tyler 08-10-2007 09:11 PM

i havent listened to that CD in a good year so I will not discuss it.

I'm listening to Demigod though so I'm automatically better than you guys.

rattlehead42147 08-10-2007 09:11 PM

yeah i think thats the one i have. michael amott is an amazing guitar player but i really cant stand arch enemy too much.

LifeInABox 08-10-2007 10:48 PM

Oh, C'mon Coke. It isn't that bad.

Shadows 08-10-2007 10:49 PM

Demigod is a great album. I've listened to the entire thing many, many times.

tastexmyxscythe 08-10-2007 10:49 PM
I seriously hope you're not talking about Behemoth
tastexmyxscythe 08-10-2007 10:51 PM
Because I wasn't?
Right, you were talking about the band, Demigod. Finnish, I believe. They're insanely good.
