Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 11:35 PM

I'm not looking foreward to waking up tomorrow because Im depressed and want to die.

....

Seriously though, I'm so tired of this whole getting 3-4 hours of sleep because I have to stay up at night and practice guitar/bass when I work. Atleast I dont have school day after tomorrow.
Well, I noticed after a while I was only using one hand position and just using my B and C string. And then I thought "This is supposed to allow me to go either way" so I put alot of emphasis on going across rather than down and now it just feels better to go across
I use both, I tend to walk up and down the board and do everything else the other way.

Blizz: why?

Yeah I'm finding less reasons to wake up every day. But like my parents are going to have some questions about why I was too drunk this morning to pick them up from the airport :(.

Maybe you should cut back on something, work would be a good idea to cut back on a bit.

I have tons of reasons to get up in the mornings, mainly God.

I was joking about the being obscenely depressed bit...I just dont want to wake up at 6:00.

I have to work alot of hours because I still need a new fretted, an electric guitar, and an upright before my gear collection is complete.

I'll trade you my ibanez musician for your sr506. We each pay for shipping.

Its a 4 string?

Pics?

Aerodyne 10-04-2006 11:46 PM

I don't know what it is about sticks, I just like the warr guitars better. It's probably the body, it seems like you'd get a better tone with a body. Plus it would be easier to play conventionally with as well. Plus you can get them with uncrossed strings. That makes me happy. :D

Yes it is, 1985. I'll take some pics right now.

Shipping would probably be inconcievable huh?

Aerodyne 10-04-2006 11:53 PM

Not if you give the ups guy a little something special. :naughty:

Like more money to pay for the inconcieveable shipping costs.

Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 11:56 PM

I'd love more vintage basses but Id NEVER feel secure shipping something more than a mile down the road.

UPS here is worthless as hell, and you know it judd

serial number L85 is the important part because it means that it was made in 1985

Minor dings, through paint, but nothing too major

About $50 each with a few taxes when they cross the border. Maybe about $40 in taxes.

I'm not a big fan of black basses, they show grime to easily.

They've been reliable in shipping me pedals and strings and such. :upset:

I like ordering stuff online, it's a nice feeling when somebody knocks on you door and says, "Sign here please." Then he hands you a box and you're like, "Huh?" Then, when you open the box you're like, "OMGWTFBBQ! I didn't order this! Oh. Wait. Oh, yeah I did. Cool. Pedals and strings and such." *Lays on bed and plugs in phaser with fuzz and envelope filter and does pick scrapes on fresh prosteels*

So. What was I saying?

Jody LeCompte 10-05-2006 12:02 AM

My mom is giving me all sorts of crap for the small instruments Im buying because she doesn't think her perfect prodigy musician son should play anything but classical piano and upright bass.

thelowsoundofbass 10-05-2006 12:03 AM
I'm not a big fan of black basses, they show grime to easily.
It takes about 30 seconds to wipe it down once you are done with it. Right now it hasn't been wiped down in about 10 playings and it looks good still. From more than a foot away you can't even see the finger prints.

Aerodyne 10-05-2006 12:04 AM

Tell her to go buy you a piano and an upright, then I'll come steal the piano and lug it up three flights of stairs to my room. Then convince her that the only way you can ease the pain of losing the piano (which was like a child to you) is to accumulate enough instruments to have to hire a piano tuner to restring all of them. /problem solved

I want to buy an electric guitar and a new four string frtted.

Then Ill either buy pedals or go into "Buy everything with strings" mode until I get my license next july.

EDIT: She doesnt understand that I dont want to have crappy gear and spending 500 dollars on an upright won't cut it.

Its not as sexy as a 20 year old guitar should be :(

I want a fretless P deluxe to match my fender

Seriously though, my dad is trying to snag my sisters old sax for me. Thatd be so sweet.

blizzard 10-05-2006 12:14 AM

Well my parents woke up.... I've pretty much have lost their trust for like quite a while.
