so what if he did?
I'm not gonna like a band any less because the singer's gay.

Even though I'm pretty sure he's not.

Tyler 01-27-2009 02:01 PM

You took that post seriously? Rody's not gay.
so rare i have three copies of it

haha you only have it because you're a total fanboy so it probably is rare.

Tyler 01-27-2009 11:28 PM

being a fanboy has nothing to do with it.

i bought it when it came out, but then i lost it. i re-ordered it like a year ago and so now i have two. i meant two, not three.

Dimmu Burger 01-28-2009 12:12 AM
are you so retarded you cant even find two songs?
I was under the impression that it was more than two songs. Oh and go f*ck yourself.

The Feeding 01-29-2009 10:07 PM

i tried to download some album a band uploaded from myspace and it completely was jacked, don't feel bad haha

James46n2 01-30-2009 01:18 AM

Heh that silverfang cover was... ugh... no comment.

Dimmu - did you find Search for the Truth? Silent Genocide is still a pretty sweet song.

Tyler 01-30-2009 01:26 AM

In terms of pre-ACUOS, Silent Genocide is tied with Just Defy for best songs. Those two are as good as anything not "I Am Dmitri" from ACUOS.

Pete 01-30-2009 01:30 AM

you like "i am dimitri" that much? personally i am all about "red stars" and "an apathetic new world"

Tyler 01-30-2009 01:31 AM

Red Stars is good and charming in the whole "oops we're commies but we really just like george orwell" sort of way. Apathetic New World gets kind of wishy washy, still a great song though. Drums are great on it. I kind of miss that dynamic, where Moe was almost like a lead instrumentalist behind his kit.

A lot of my love for I Am Dmitri comes not only from how amazing it was live, but because Brothers Karamazov is a personal favourite of mine. In it's later incarnations, the song was so good. I love how it sort of grew with their sound, I wish they'd bring it back.

You can hear some of the modified leads in this song. That show was elite as **** too.

Pete 01-30-2009 01:35 AM

i just love the "grasping at a chance through a wall of austerity"-part, and the whole ending ("so it's you, and it's me"), i find myself singing it every now and then when i do boring stuff. and the drums are sweet on that song as well.

Tyler 01-30-2009 01:36 AM

I think Apathetic New World and Led Astray are really saved by the drums actually. And yeah, I always find myself singing the old stuff, even still today. I tend to sing it like Rody did, too. "Grassssping at a chance, threw a wahl, of aw-stair-e-teeeah".

Seriously watch that video though. They opened the set with that performance. You can't beat smaller gigs.

Pete 01-30-2009 01:38 AM

oh, i posted pre-edit, i missed the video. good stuffs.

edit: also, ewww "led astray" wtf a love song =/

Tyler 01-30-2009 01:40 AM

That show had a decidedly punk edge to it, I loved it. They played "Linoleum" for their encore (a cover was the only way Luke would agree to one) at about light speed.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrzEZID1PwI

Like, take how fast this She Who Mars performance is and double it.

Jev 01-30-2009 06:15 AM

Can't imagine them doing Linoleum lol

FattyKnee 01-30-2009 07:05 AM

fortress was good upon first listen but now its kinda warn off on me. kezia is still awesome though

Tyler 01-30-2009 01:50 PM
Can't imagine them doing Linoleum lol
They used to play it a lot, actually. That and Iron Maiden covers were drunken favourites.

Pastorius 01-30-2009 02:36 PM

i hate you guys

Tyler 01-30-2009 02:38 PM

I'm working on video evidence if it helps. Hard drive recovery sucks.
