TakeWarning 11-14-2007 04:18 AM

I play SFAFC every once in a while but I still can't get into it.

Transient 11-14-2007 04:24 AM

Violence is one of my favourite AM! songs.

TakeWarning, do you have TEE exams atm?

mullets suk 11-14-2007 01:52 PM

so saw AM! last night in DC. best show ever. they ended with the ocean, and everyone was like "WTF, ill kill you if you end on the ocean" then tom gabel comes out by him self with an electric/acoustic guitar and goes in to "cause baby im an anarchist", then when that ends the rest of the band comes on stage and they play "impact", and to finish it off they did "we laugh at the face of danger". it was the greatest show ever.

to top it all off i got the set list of both world inferno and AM!

Liebensaft 11-14-2007 01:56 PM

That's a pretty impressive closing.

tom79 11-14-2007 02:00 PM

I had the one like that, but with What We Worked For instead of Impact. Impact would be sick to see live. Thinking about their shows, I want them see them again really soon..

This makes me really want to make an effort to get to their next show around here. Also, when did World/Inferno play, were they first? I just have a feeling that, since it'll be their first time playing over here, they wont get as much crowd enthusiasm as they really deserve (execpt from me, because I love them).

mullets suk 11-14-2007 06:05 PM

i never really got in to world inferno, and the only place i really heard of them was here. they went on second, after cobra skulls (think if johnny cash was a punk). both bands were really good, they played some stuff that people called out which is always really cool. since i dont know the songs by name i can post the set list so you can get an idea of what they played. (also there was alot of people who knew them, and got a couple big mosh pits, but then again im in DC not michigan, lol)

then came sage Frances...yea...that was interesting. if you never heard of him hes a rapper from providence Rhode island. one of the first things he says is "throw your guns in the air" and about 10 whitest of the white kids throw there "guns" in the air. i thought he sucked pretty bad but i have some friends that are really in to him.

Rory World Inferno is huge in Michigan I don't know what you're talking about.

They were in Detroit with the Bouncing Souls and then again like two weeks ago.

When I went to see them open for the Subhumans in Detroit they had plenty of fans and it was great. However, I seem to be the only fan of them in Grand Rapids (which they'll be playing for the first time at in a couple of weeks), as well as other places in West Michigan.

They're getting quite a bit of radio play on my college's station right now, though. I reviewed their newest CD for the variety DJs. So maybe that'll change in this area.

Is your college in Grand Rapids?

asdf 11-14-2007 10:30 PM

Nope. There's no good college stations in GR.

Yeah, I finished on Monday. :)

Why do you ask?

Transient 11-15-2007 04:44 AM

Just wondering.

I have my last one tomorrow :awesome:

TakeWarning 11-15-2007 09:06 PM

Good luck.

Where are you going for Leavers?

Transient 11-16-2007 07:34 AM

I'm not allowed to because my parents are gay. :/

Would've been going to Dunsborough though.

You?

I saw them twice on their last tour. The first time when they came back on for the encore every shouted Disco at them until they play that first. Then they did Impact. The second time their encore was Baby/RAR/Danger which was incredibly awesome.

I've seen them play Impact a couple of times. The only song I really want to see them play but haven't is What We Worked For.

void_ 11-17-2007 05:52 AM

God!

They must be good... 150+ pages of ranting and raving...

Im away to download a few tracks :)

Henrik 11-17-2007 08:40 AM

I wonder if they've ever played "Ya'll don't wanna step to dis" live. That track is so awesome, but I've never seen it on a set list.

mullets suk 11-17-2007 02:44 PM

out all their old stuff both y'all dont want to step to dis and what we worked for are the two songs that are up there for wanting them to play.

also all or nothing would be really cool...but thas never goin to happen.

lol, they're grumpy.. they could be tired of talking about that crap

Flagjacket 11-21-2007 10:17 AM

How is that humorous at all I can't believe I wasted my time

Anarcho Poser 11-21-2007 01:00 PM

i thought it was a little funny. specially where he had the chick thinking it was one band.

Cliche 11-23-2007 03:37 PM

They played an acoustic show the other day somewhere and someone from Kraytracker sent me this message:
wow man...let me tell you what a show it was...here was the setlist from the best of my memory despite my extreme drunkenness....

Joy (just tom out on stage...one spotlight...very tight)
What We Worked For (****in RULED)
Walking is Still Honest
New Wave
Tonight we're gonna give it 35%
Dont Lose Touch
Impact
Reinventing Axl Rose
Thrash Unreal
Sink, Florida, Sink
Unsubstantiated Rumors are good enough to base your life upon
The Ocean
Those Anarcho Punxs are Mysterious (upright base, so tight)
Pints of Guinness(upright base again)
Baby I'm an Anarchist (just tom and James...just unbelievable)
Wagon Wheel ( just tom and james again...can't believe they played this)
8 Full Hours of Sleep (just tom, one spotlight....****in AWESOME)

The good news is there was a professional camera crew there so it is possible they will be releasing the video at some point
obese_breasts 11-23-2007 03:45 PM

holy jaysus that's an awesome setlist

asdf 11-23-2007 05:58 PM

From what I here there will be major record labels and such at the show around here. Possibly filming. (and last time they played here there was a picture from the show in SPIN magazine. I didn't even know anyone was taking photos).

Seeing as I'm hearing good things about recent shows, I'm very upset that I can't find anyone who will bring me there, now that I live away from the venue. Pissing me off.

Sunshine 11-23-2007 07:18 PM

They're playing St. Louis on Sunday.
And by "St. Louis," I mean "East St. Louis."
But it's at an 18+ club.
And my 18th birthday isn't 'til December.
Which sucks.
Mucho ass.

Anarcho Poser 11-23-2007 07:30 PM

borrow a friend who's older and has the same color hair's ID

Liebensaft 11-23-2007 09:02 PM

Seriously. If they're going to card, they're not going to do anything besides get a brief glimpse at a face.

Also, holy damn. I'd like to see a video of that acoustic show.

mullets suk 11-23-2007 10:18 PM

that set list would been crazy, and an up right bass. fricken awesome

also Cliche could you upload wagon wheel? after that my against me! collection will be filled (besides live shows, but im not to worried about that)
