Reunion shows suck.

For the most part, they're pretty disappointing.
Did anyone see Moss Icon play at More Than Music a couple yaers ago?
Badbadbad.

Let's Chop Cats! 10-17-2004 12:19 PM

Reunion shows rule provided it's the whole band and not like 1 member. Ignite reformed and they were amazing when I saw them.

shane italian 10-17-2004 12:19 PM
You do have a valid point there, but if you listen to Yaphet Kotto (or well, read their lyrics), you'll see what they're about.

Anyway, I find it quite entertaining that I signed up a couple days ago and caused such a stir.
Yeah, that happens with everybody.

So you aren't British? Me and Buddy were positive.

It's awesome to see one of your favourite bands play, but if you listen objectively, the chemistry is often gone.

tornpictures 10-17-2004 12:21 PM

Okay, half British. Dutch / British hybrid, lived in the USA for a couple (7) years.

Let's Chop Cats! 10-17-2004 12:21 PM

Not always, as said Ignite was awesome. It all depends on what terms the band is on.

tornpictures 10-17-2004 12:22 PM

Yeah.
Did anyone see Braid on their recent reunion tour??

shane italian 10-17-2004 12:55 PM
Yeah.
Did anyone see Braid on their recent reunion tour??
Sadly, no. I really wished I could have though.

I really hope Good Clean Fun comes back in 6 years.

tornpictures 10-17-2004 01:03 PM

:'(

Braid were so much fun live.
Awesome show back in the day: Still Life, Indian Summer, Shroomunion, Braid, Cap'n Jazz.
In a basement.

PlasticGangster 10-17-2004 01:11 PM

Cursive played over here in the summer. I couldn't get a ride so I didn't go
Yaphet Kotto, Pg. 99, Majority Rule, Transistor, Transistor, Wolves, etc.

Hardcore.
Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot and has no idea what hardcore is (about).
Yes, those bands are emo/screamo. Which is hardcore... a SUB genre of hardcore. Tell me with a straight face those bands have any correlation to Death Threat and Mental.

Same here!

PaganReign 10-17-2004 02:47 PM

So would Hondo MaClean be categorised as metalcore? I cannot find the "REAL screamo" thread that has been talked about so I was just wondering if anyone could write up a detailed definition of screamo along with some bands... it would seem that I have no idea what screamo is when I thought I did.

PaganReign 10-17-2004 03:20 PM

Sadly I do not know many of the bands mentioned so it dosen't help much.

Happymeal 10-17-2004 07:12 PM

I'm a semi-regular in emo/screamo:wave:

even if I haven't listened to all of the bands in the list yet

40 oz 2 freedom 10-17-2004 10:52 PM

Hey Buddy, who did you say the singer of One King Down sings for now?

BuddyBigsby 10-17-2004 10:55 PM

Most Precious Blood.

40 oz 2 freedom 10-17-2004 10:56 PM

That's what I thought.

I saw that a while back, coincidence?

BuddyBigsby 10-18-2004 12:20 AM

Yeah, definitely not the same band as today's Slipknot.

PlasticGangster 10-18-2004 12:22 AM

Their is a Slipknot cover band. They're kids in Middleschool and stuff

Gotkookie 10-18-2004 12:29 AM

BuddyBigsby 10-18-2004 12:31 AM
