Maybe, greatest classic rock albums, or bands, or songs, or riffs, or guitarists, or...

BludgeonySteve 08-13-2004 04:50 PM

I don't think we could do bands because that's a matter of opinon. Guitarists would be goo.d We could show rolling stone a thing or two

Badmoon 08-13-2004 04:52 PM

we could do bands, we'll vote.

Grammar Fuhrer 08-13-2004 04:53 PM

I have an idea, I don't know if it's been done before, but you could start off by naming someone from the classic rock era Then take the first letter from their last name to name another person. Example: Robert Plant - Paul McCartney. What do you guys think?

BludgeonySteve 08-13-2004 04:55 PM
we could do bands, we'll vote.
We could do sort of like that top 100 albums thing. We could get a bunch of classic rock albums and make a thread. This could put the classic rock thread on the map.

Against Miik! 08-13-2004 04:55 PM

no, I think some lists would be quite cool, and they would actually make sense unliked the rolling stone lists. So that means the white stripes cannot have a top ten album ever.

Badmoon 08-13-2004 04:56 PM

That's been done plenty, but good thinking :).

To: The guy two posts up

so, what kind of list?

BludgeonySteve 08-13-2004 04:58 PM

i'm the guy two posts up. We could do a classic rock top 100, albums, guitarists, bands, songs...

Badmoon 08-13-2004 05:00 PM

How about top 10 albums now, and we'll work up.

Paranoidd 08-13-2004 05:00 PM

I don't think it could be condensed into 10.

Against Miik! 08-13-2004 05:01 PM

10- The Eagles/Hotel California

Badmoon 08-13-2004 05:02 PM

First, we need to mention our favorite albums.

IAJP 08-13-2004 05:02 PM
No, it's fine if you vote for Jimmy Page. I just hope you would know the other writers on the list.
Page would win it, then Morrison, just listen to the lizard king, how he even came up with such an idea is unbeliveable really, then hendrix, then probbably Townshend or something
but thats cool man, look at my username:lol:
talk about big headed:naughty:

Badmoon 08-13-2004 05:03 PM

So, make a list (in any order) on your FAVORITE Classic Rock albums. Post as many as you would like, just make sure you really like them.
