Aoxomoxoa, you should get it.
Ya I've been keeping my eye out for it at my record store. They never have it though. Maybe I will just buy the CD. |
Okay, it didn't work again. If anyone really wants it, add me on AIM and I'll get it to you later tonight.

Hey Badmoon, could you possibly post some samples of Blue Cheer's Vincebes Eruptum?
|
New Guitarist Poll.

Thanks for saving me the trouble.
Hey Badmoon, could you possibly post some samples of Blue Cheer's Vincebes Eruptum?
Please do. All I have is "Summertime Blues" and I wish to gain more. :) |
So, to start conversation, who here likes Jackson Browne?
|

Well, I already did. But I guess I can later, but definitely not at the moment. |

My dad has quite a few CD's by him, I just never checked them out yet. |
Im really liking Beck's chances considering he's the only non-metal guitarist and if most of the Classic Rock fans pick him he'll most likely make it. :D
|
Yeah that would be awesome if Beck won. I voted for him.
edit- I really like Tony Iommi too though, I wouldn't mind if he won either. I don't really view Iommi as a metal guitarist, I suppose he was...but I really just listen to the first few albums Sabbath put out. He's basically just playing really heavy blues and rock riffs. |
Kind of off-topic but I just bought Animals from itunes. I am 3 minutes into dogs. I literally just downloaded it 5 minutes ago. I like what I hear :thumb:.

Iommi was who I voted for in the original one but unfortunaltley he didn't make it. I would have voted for him again, but much to my chagrin, heh was in 3rd. Although I prefer him to Beck, I voted with Jeff because he is more talented than Iommi and more influential than the other two. Right now it looks like Beck is in good posistion to win so I'm happy.

Animals is a good album, despite being possibly my most un-favourite Pink Floyd album. How does itunes work? |
iTunes is a site where you purchase music for your iPod from what I've gathered.
|
Anyone here (other than myself and P.F.) like the Minutemen?
|
Haven;t heard them.

Makes sense I suppose. I've actually never heard the Minutemen (at least I don't think so). Any songs that I may recognize? |

I've heard of them, aren't they Irish?
|
I will explain the Minutemen (Even though I have before) now.
The Minutemen are (and always have been) a three piece. They will also always be known as a Punk band. However, their version of Punk isn't always musical; they were very political and had punk like song topics. In fact, at their best they even had a large deal of Country/Folk in them. The Minutemen are made up of vocalist/guitarist D. Boon, bassist/vocalist Mike Watt, and drummer George Hurley. They were all quite good (especially Watt). And are now are looked at well for their talent back in the 1980's. Finally, the band ended when D. Boon died. Now I am 100% sure you have heard the instrumental section of their non-instrumental song "Corona". It was the theme for Jackass. You've probably heard other songs off of Double Nickels On the Dime, like "This Ain't No Picnic", "The Glory of Man", etc... |

They're from San Pedro, California. |
That's cool, nice little review too!
Oh ya I gotta show you guys a site....it's super cool when your baked, but just as cool when you're not. Beware, you may get lost in it and forget about reality. I stared at it for like half an hour last night (it was tricky to work at first though). http://www.eviltree.de/zoomquilt/zoom.htm Everyone take a look! Behold! edit-530-5493 (need to remember a number, too lazy to find a pen) |
Ah, I've heard of Mike Watt before.
|
thickasabrick, that site was pretty cool, I startedd out going bacwards. THen I switched once I realized it was looped.
|
Has anyone heard of the George Baker selection?
I was listening to th Reservoir Dogs soundtrack and it was the first song I can kinda remember it from he movie but not well but the song Little Green Bag is a pretty good song. Especially the start bass line. |

Edit: It reminds me of what those 2 guys were seeing in "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" anyone else see it? It's my favorite movie at the moment. |
Thickasabrick, that site is amazing. I'd love to do art like that eventually.
