the real question is,
Hmm, thats good to know. I might actually just get a passport in case I wanna hop continents but we'll see. I think for now, I'd rather do the enhanced license thing.
Just get a passport then, yeah, the enhanced license isn't worth it unless you're driving across often.

A friend of mine just called me to come out for drinks, man, Etobicoke sucks. Because I live so deep in my area, which is far north, it would probably take me an hour and a half to get to Bathurst and Bloor to meet up with them, which would make the trip pointless.

TimJim 07-21-2009 09:46 PM

neither

ive had mine for like two years

Oh yeah, I forgot you were in Etobicoke for school. MAN, I've been meaning to head down there for ages - been a while since I've gone to Sonic Boom for a browse.

Tons of good bars around there.

EDIT: Coming from someone who lives in Scarborough, I feel your grief when it comes to last minute plans/public transit.

I've been meaning to go to Sonic Boom, yeah, I usually go there and pick up a stack of CDs every month. It's amazing what you can find, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way. A few months ago they had an inordinate amount of used Cliteater CDs.

Bar-wise that's pretty much where I go. Green Room, mostly.

The transportation thing is just because of the way the routs and subway are mapped out I have to go in almost a full circle just to get to where I'm going. Rather than going like this \ I've got to go down, over and up again.

TimJim 07-21-2009 09:51 PM

have purplefeet and coke ever met irl

RetiredAt21 07-21-2009 09:51 PM

Agreed. Cats are elite.

TimJim 07-21-2009 09:52 PM

cats have the power of Lucifer in their blood
have purplefeet and coke ever met irl
Nah, never met anyone from Sputnik IRL.

RetiredAt21 07-21-2009 09:53 PM

I have a feeling MX meetings would be weird, no matter the circumstances.

illmitch 07-21-2009 09:53 PM

cats are undoubtedly elite

but dogs are similar to wolves, and wolves are undeniably kvlt

i just dunno man

RetiredAt21 07-21-2009 09:54 PM

Yeah but cats have allegiance to no one. NOT EVEN GOD.

Haha, yeah seriously. That's exactly how I have to get to work in the morning.

Green Room isn't bad from my few experiences there. I wish they had tastier food though.

The wings are okay, I guess. If I'm hungry I'll usually just walk south to College and hit up Sneaks. I remember you saying you weren't a fan, but the food is awesome and it's open way past last call. Although they let us keep our drinks way late the other night at Green Room, we were there until almost 245 drinking.

The nachos at Sneaks are boss. And it's alright watching a show upstairs but it's normally just too crowded for my likings. I DO like that it's open late though. If I were to go anywhere in that neighborhood for grub, it'd be there.

It's funny cause I've never met anyone on Sputnik either but I betchu we'd probably have some friends in common.

I never go upstairs tbh. I don't know many people from Scarborough really, but it's always possible.

Heh, yeah but most of my friends are downtowners/west city folk which is why I figured it's kinda probable.

I've only been upstairs for one show, but it was pretty decent. Horde of Worms were playing, I think on Boxing Day. I'm normally in Moss Park/Regent Park portion of downtown (since I work down there) and I'm getting used to the crackhead, ghetto-ville rather than trendy Bloor/Bath.

awesome dogs for sure Timjim, we had to put her down a couple years ago:(, but a very rewarding pet. Gotta be walked and exercised heaps and they eat quite a lot too!!

Tyler 07-21-2009 10:03 PM

There are some great pubs near Regent Park though, you just have to head towards Cabbagetown or Riverdale. I used to live there and I loved the pub food in the day (obviously couldn't get to them at night).

Yeah, I'm working on it. I think my fav bar in the whole downtown region is probably Fionn McCools at Adelaide and Uni-ish. If you've ever had their Blarney chips or Shep's pie - no other pub food seems to compare :(

Anyway, probably bout time I pack it in for the eve. Work in the AM.

Night all !

Fionn McCools is great for sure.

I'm throwing in the towel on my Manowar cover for tonight. The epicness will have to be put on hold for the night.
