oh god i'm bored. i waited all day for my friend to get home from work because he said he was gonna come over and jam (it's been a good 3-4 months since i've jammed with anyone) and then i call him at 5:30, and he's gone to his girlfriend's. i waited for him to call me yesterday, then i gave in and called him, and it was his sister's birthday, so i went over there. ugh.

the latest girl....well, as it usually goes for me, it was super cool the first few times we hung out, but now things just kinda fizzled it seems. she's cool and super cute, she thinks the same of me (how silly of her!), but there just doesn't seem to be much there.. oh well, there's many more fish in the sea!

....the remaining 80% of which I won't like because they're overly feminine and annoyingly girly.
...the remaining 50% of which I won't like because they smoke cigarettes.
...the remaining 50% of which I won't like because religion plays a serious role in their life...
...the remaining 95% of which I won't be interested in because they aren't remotely into art/design and creative stuff..
...the remaining 20-30% I won't like because they either "don't care about politics", or have misplaced political leanings (you know, the greedy/selfish/arrogant kind).

....and finally, the remaining 90% of which won't matter "romantically" anyway because that mysterious "chemistry" thang just won't be there....

but I wouldn't want to settle for anything less....and neither should she (in me).
well, except for, maybe, the religion thing. so long as she's not all.....you know....psycho & cultish...then, it's probably tolerable. but for me, most everything I listed kinda says a lot about the person.

of course, you're right though.. ultimately, it's almost impossible to choose who you fall for sometimes. I think we'd all be a lot happier if it was that easy! :)

(honestly, falling out of love with my first girlfriend after 4.5 years as we grew apart/different is what I think made me so damn picky....there's few things I'm genuinely afraid of, but I'm really terrified of that happening again)
