Yeah, but managers usually do which is the problem. Unless they're independently owned stores then you have to conform to the company policies. All part of the job, really .

At both my jobs they don't care what I wear, just so long as it's not too outrageous (one's working with kids at a chess tournament, the other's working in an office).

For both of them, I know the boss quite well, and for the office one she doesn't care what I wear so long as I do my job. The kids one, no-one except the boss wears the suit, and that's to make him easily distinguishable, so if we all dressed up, it would kill the point...

So yeah...I got paid today.

I get paid in 2 days :D

i've had a few issues with amazon in the past, with things not turning up, but other then that it's all been pretty cool, the best thing to do is just phone them up, things usually get sorted out pretty quick that way.

Shuffle/random's the best way to listen to music. Especially on mp3 players :)

Don't wear PVC, combat fatigues or anything dripping blood. I know, it seems obvious, but it does happen.

what apprenticeship is it for?

you just have to make sure you know what your talking about, they'll probably ask you why you want to do it, what interests you about it, etc... normal interview questions, just make sure your clear on all of that before the interview and i'd of thought it'll all be cool.

Also, if you're stuck for an answer, don't go "uh, um, er...", just pause, till you know what you want to say, and then say it clearly. Better someone who stops and thinks about their answer than an 'umm'er 'er'er, IMO

Like the others have said: make sure you know what you're talking about. Try beforehand to think of all the questions they could ask you and get an idea of what you could say.
Act confident too - don't look at the floor, eye contact is good but you don't want to look creepy :p Make sure you smile too. And if they are explaining something to you, knod along and say "yes/uh huhh" everynow and again.

I handed in my college stuff today, thank God they were actually open. I thought it might be all closed up because the term is over!!
