RouteOne 09-14-2008 03:38 PM

The ones that annoy me are in bright neon colors with the design going up the side.

RouteOne 09-14-2008 03:42 PM

I've never listened to augustburnsred

I will now listen to them

Shattered_Future 09-14-2008 03:44 PM

Not the best I've seen, but not the worst I've seen either.

New Burst is...

You know, I don't really know what to think of it. I have the overwhelming urge to turn it off because of the vocals, but at the same time they're not that bad. Also with the guitars; there's plenty of standard riffs, but they're always juxtaposed with interesting ones.

RouteOne 09-14-2008 03:45 PM

August Burns Red is a metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The band formed in March 2003 while the members were still in high school,[1] and soon began playing shows around Lancaster. The band name is derived from an incident regarding the relationship breakdown of a former member and his girlfriend.[1] The band cites Between the Buried and Me, Misery Signals and Hopesfall as their main influences.[1]

The vocals are all over the place but it works out for them in the end. I love the album, it took me about a week to really fall for it though.

Shattered_Future 09-14-2008 03:49 PM

It's quite spastic is the overwhelming feeling I'm getting right now. There's a ton of great moments and some not so good ones too.

adb 09-14-2008 03:50 PM

I'm just looking at ABR's merch store, seriously their stuff sucks now, it's ultra scene and tries way too hard. I have a nice ABR zip-up and shirt, but gave them to my brother

oh, and **** $20 for a t-shirt.

Just keep listening. Listen loud too.

Shattered_Future 09-14-2008 03:54 PM

It's getting better. I Exterminate The I is seriously sweet.

Tyler 09-14-2008 03:54 PM

Were you only on the first song? It makes you kind of uneasy but everything just keeps getting so much better as the album goes on.

Shattered_Future 09-14-2008 04:01 PM

Yeah, I Hold Vertigo was just ok. Shame the opening was really lackluster, because the next 2 tracks are really, really good.

botb 09-14-2008 04:04 PM

August Burns Red will forever be my favorite metalcore band because they are so damn good. Saw em live last week and as usual they played a ****ing incredible show.
The band name is derived from an incident regarding the relationship breakdown of a former member and his girlfriend.[
that's an urban legend. it's not true at all.

adb 09-14-2008 04:06 PM

Did they play Endorphins? If they didn't I'm not going

beans 09-14-2008 04:13 PM

ABR is good

TimJim 09-14-2008 04:13 PM

ABR is great

botb 09-14-2008 04:14 PM

ABR is ****ing outstanding. and they played endorphins i think, they also played a shot below the belt and all the singles and barbarian and the seventh trumpet and another couple songs.

WIELANGDIENACHTIST 09-14-2008 04:16 PM

no, they dont have a high enough rating on rym to be good

adb 09-14-2008 04:16 PM

hmm...sounds good. I might go next Saturday after work

botb 09-14-2008 04:22 PM
