3 years ago I was doing my own research into older metalcore bands and some elite hardcore. Posting here though helped.

i cant remember exactly what i liked 3 years ago, but i'm pretty btbam/opeth/etid/black dahlia murder was the majority of what i was listening too.

i still like a lot of opeth, but my friends tend to suck off mike to the point where i can't stand anything he's involved with. btbam just suck now, and etid and tbdm are still awesome.

its just a lot of the bands are so uninteresting

same way I feel about metalcore but there are just so many good past metalcore bands that I still love the genre

and there are still some amazing bands going. And after animosity broke up I just feel most deathcore is blergh to me. It's like if Converge broke up and all that is left are bands like the Devil Wears Prada or Asking Alexandria.

I rarely listen to anything outside of screamo, hardcore and elliott smith anymore :c

Mostly I've been listening to indie, dubstep and electro house lately.

Oh and lots of Converge and Modern Life Is War.
