I don't know how much I'd like it. I love his solos but if he's not much of a riff writer I don't know how good it would be. I'd like a just guitar album by Metallica.

So im gunna listen to a Metallica album for the first time in a few months. It will probably be between RTL or MOP.

There pretty equal to me. They both have some of my favorite Metallica songs on them. AJFA and KEA are great albums too.

i just learned all of master of puppets FINALLYYY its taken me forever. i'm always too lazy to get off my duff and get the tabs, so i just guess. but oh well now i'm done

I had learned all of that song except for the solo, but like I siad, I dont remember :p

i can do the first fast part of the solo but i haven't looked at the tabs for the rest of the last solo. i can do all the slow ones, those are easy. i just can't remember how the fast one goes, so i guess that means i'm not done done :upset:

But Master of Puppets is an essential metal album, not in the sense it's so technically amazing, but because it's composed oh so well, again this is subjective, and I obviously have a different opinion to you. But I really believe Master of Puppets is an [i]essential[/i] metal album.

Pro man, I have all the rhythm down, almost perfectly, a few change-overs I'm not so good at, but jeez I feel I have played MoP too many times :x

I've been learning sweeps recently (I plan on playing Leper Messiah soon, and I'm pretty sure the solo for that is a 3 string sweep?), and I'm not too bad at it, of course I haven't tried rolling my fingers yet, but just a simple:

Kirk studied a lot of theory and a lot of classical stuff. I'm pretty sure he has lectured on Guitar theory. He's not an idiot. He knows his stuff.

Have you even watched Some Kind of Monster? Kirk isn't in it for the money, and half the things he says makes it quite obvious that he plays because guitar is his life. Lars and James have their children, Kirk has surfing and guitar.
