Mmm yeah, if you're good enough to be gigging, get out there.
|
shall do, I bet we can easily fill a 45-min slot as a Misfits tribute band with a few other covers here and there, then for the Nebular Frost stuff (just me Harry and Matt), we're going to record our first demo around Easter time if all goes to plan, then get some gigs if we can ('Frost is a black metal band, so it might be tricky)
|
Cool, hope it all goes well. My band are doing okay, got a few originals.
I'll tell you what, I'd like to be in a Sonata Arctica tribute band. Man they rule. |
there's so many tribute bands i'd like to form, one that i really really want to get together is something like a tribute to the hard rock bands of the 70's.
|
Me and a mate are starting a power metal band that covers songs such as Love Will Tear Us Apart
|
You can't dwell on it brew
You're hardly playing the most accessable of music |
'tis true, but when compared to bands made up of year 7's who don't even have singers and will probably have problems filling the 20minute slot, I just feel that we should've got in rather than them :-\
|
Man that sucks.
Reminds me that I need to get a band though. I just keep coming up with ideas for music, too. with no one to share em with. |
I just got asked to play Ladbroke Grove's Inn On The Green on St. Patrick's Day. Should be very fun. They tell me anyone dressed entirely in green gets in free ("And not just wearing a green T-shirt...they have to make themselves look like a pillock" - says the promoter).
It should be a fun gig. We're booked as the "insane" punk band to bridge the gap between Neon Diamond, a glam-rock band, and headliners Love Parade, who play psychadelic soul. Anyway...he forgot to book any Irish bands for the night, so I found a cute redhead who's 1/8th Irish to sing Kirsty MacColls part on Fairytale Of New York...(on the promoters request...) |
I'm very close to forming a band at the moment.
/*crosses fingers* |
And I claimeth FOD and FOAD.
