New Sigur Ros.

So much post-rock lately.
Is this the right forum for that?

Shellac - Excellent Italian Greyhound

its like ... jam-core

or something

cool stuff. i think the last two songs were my favorites

haha in the last one they have this like generic driving (but awesome) drumbeat and then the one-note bassline and then they just shout gibberish and play guitar along its a really fun song, making fun of boring hardcore stuff but doing it well

DevilsArmpit 11-13-2007 03:09 PM

I've been listening to a lot of unsigned stuff lately, well into Bad Sandwich at the mo. It's really funky rock but well heavy. They've got a track called Get A Grip that's well good.

poopie 11-13-2007 03:10 PM

is it dark and funky like the devils armpit?

ATM 11-13-2007 03:11 PM

winkle, what is jam-core?

poopie 11-13-2007 03:21 PM

its like where you jam

but its core

its like noodle-core

except its more jamming than noodling

pulseczar 11-13-2007 03:47 PM

I've been slacking on listening to new music lately. I've been reacquainting myself with my music collection instead. Oh, what fun!

ATM 11-13-2007 04:10 PM

Same here, actually. I had to go on a musical purge because my hard drive was full.

Boris with Merzbow - Rock Dream

Pretty damn sweet, and good sound. The volume of the guitar is a bit low sometimes though (Blackout got destroyed ): ). But still awesome.

Eliminator 11-13-2007 05:42 PM

I listen to this album at least once a week.

Right now I'm digging the new Animal Collective, My Bloody Valentine's Loveless (I have no idea why it took so long for me to get into this), Neil Young - After the Goldrush, and various reggae artists.

Those are fun too. Every japanese band should make covers of beatles tracks, with very bad articulation.
