Are you listening to it because it's lo-fi, or because it's good?

I never understood kids who listen to things exclusively for poor production (though I do like lo-fi production).

Als, I've seriously been listening to I, Robot for repeat for like an hour now. :lol:

Because it's good. It just happens to be lo-fi. But the style is the way that I like hardcore to be. It's fast, abrasive, and full of schizophrenic vocals

ie. Aerosols, Drunkdriver, Lotus ****er, Nomos

There is a ton of unique **** going on in the scene too

IDK, he said some of it, and didn't say what bands he'd call unique, so I have no clue yet.

Drunkdriver is pretty unique. Lotus ****er is a dc band and their new lp rips. I mean it plays off that early japanese Gauze style, but it's riffier. Aerosols I wouldn't say are "unique" but they're pretty ****ing good hardcore. At it's worst, it's just a more aesthetically pleasing genre to me than most other types of hardcore. It's more aggressive. It's more explosive.

Drunkdriver was pretty wild when I saw them live.

I just like punky hardcore or emo, none of that (well not much of) tuffguy bullshit for me.

I wouldn't call this stuf tuffguy hardcore. That's why I like it. It's ****ed up and violent, but doesn't rely on you lifting weights. And you can't ****ing hardcore dance to it

what is it that you guys call xtuffx or whatever? are you basing if off the sound or the demographic of fans?

because in pure sound Harm's Way is way ****ing more tough guy than any pussy faux tough guy NYHC rip off **** that most people seem to use that label on.

Most music is ****. I have to listen to at least three songs playing at the one time to feel engaged.
