Nah i live in Ireland so only orals i had to do were Irish and French, we studied Macbeth for our main state exams, i will try to help you out as much as i can with it if you can give me exactly what points/ideas you will be trying to get across in this oral

We have to inform the audience of the possible reasons behind the actions of a marginalised character in the play. I am Malcolm. We have to say the motives that our character had and the justification that they would use if given the chance to tell the story from their position.

ok, I really need help, I wouldn't bother posting this here, but I have no were left to turn for help...to make a long story short I don't have any friends, well none that live close to me I only have like 3 and they live like 40 min. away...any way I think it's because I don't talk to much, because I never know what to say, I don't know way I always feel subconscious that I'm going to say something stupid or something so I don't say much...anyway back to my original question, I need to know what people talk about? like I need to know how would you start a conversation, or just what to say to people? please I don't know what to do, I can't stand having to always be alone, and have every one not even notice me...it's been like this as long a I can remember...it sucks

Thanks, malcolm is the guy who becomes King in the end. The only stuff I have wrote is about how Malcolm and Donalbain fled and how evil Macbeth is and talked about the people he killed. I have also got my extract from the play. I have to write something about how it relates to the 21st Century.

I don't have many friends either, the people I talk to at school I don't really consider them as friends. I just talk to them because if I didn't i would have know one to ever talk to and I would eat lunch all by myself.

Just be yourself and if they don't want to talk to you your obviously too good for them anyway.

Ah i remember now, well you could talk about the eternal struggle between good and evil. You could take about todays evils such as war etc... You can say how evil beings are usually brought to justice through good, example today is Hussein. Just link parts of the play to even the most mundaine examples of today, there are alot of examples of evil in the world to take from

I don't have so many friend...like 4 great friends....6-8 good friends and the other are just people I talk everyday but I don't really care about em...

You sholdn't be looking for advice on how to talk to people. What you should do is just talk to people however you feel comfortable, trust me, i have been friends with a good few people who ended up to be complete ássholes. If people don't like you then just talk to more people and you will definately find some good friends, remember friendships ( good ones ) take a while to get. I have about 7 really really close friends and it took years just to get that. Be careful who you try to befriend. First off i find it ewasier to make new friends with people of the same gender then you will find it easier to befriend people of the opposite sex. I didn't even have any female friends until about 2 years ago and only have 2 rclose female friends. Compatability is the key to any friendship. Also play it cool :cool:

You need to be more confident with yourselves. I have a ton of friends just because I can go up to complete strangers and just start talking to them.

Find a common ground with some people you think would be generally interesting to talk to, and just start to conversate.

Talk about things they like, most of all. Learn about them first, then start to open up about yourself a little bit. It isn't that hard to find something you both like to talk about.

And about being subconscious, you can't worry about what people think. If you feel confident about yourself, you honestly don't need the s'hittalkers in your life.

Biscuit Box gave way better advice.

The people I sit with at school talk about Big Brother. It doesn't get much worse that that.

A piece of advice for you guys :
Sometimes you are better off being a "loner". I found myself sometimes in a better place without some of my friends about. Not everyone out there is nice. Be careful who you let into your life and get close to. My friend of 6 years stabbed me in the back. He done the worst thing to me that anyone could have ever done to me! I know it may sound stupid but some people are better off not being in your life

I think it's more realistic than anarchy, unless the anarchist community is very small and full of like minded individuals. In that case, count me in. I've had a number of people tell me that I'm libertarian, because I don't identify with a lot of liberal issues, like gun control, abortions at anytime, and a whole host of other things. And I'm not sure what Libertarian Socialism is exactly, but I'll look it up and see if I identify with that.

EDIT: Actually, yes I do. Now I have to remember to add that socialism onto the end.

There is nothing at all Libertarian about being opposed to abortion rights.

I agree with a lot.

Being a loner can be really good for you. In 10th grade, I was all about hanging out with friends, just screwing around and having a good time being social. But I ended up getting really bad grades. So 11th grade I decided I was going to just focus on my work, it was also involuntary because I didn't have many friends, and the main people I used to hang out with weren't there, or I didn't want to hang out with them anymore. I spent 11th grade as a loner, rarley ever talked to anyone, kept to myself. I got good grades and felt better about myself. It took until this year when I can open up and be myself. I still worry about saying something stupid and I'm pretty bad at starting a conversation, but I can easily jump into one, and I have a few friends this year, and balencing that with work, so I'm all good.

If you are young, its a matter of time before you start opening up to more people. What I suggest is try to start with a small group of friends, and become friends with their friends and let it grow from there. Pace yourself, if you f'uck up somewhere, don't let yourself beat yourself up about it. Let it flow. Eventually you will work your way out of your shell. Trust me, this is coming from someone who had a hard time talking to his own family who he had grown up with. My dad is the same way.

No, I think people should be able to get abortions, but I only before the baby's nervous sytem has devoloped. Which is the way it is now, I think.
