penguins can't type as fast as Brew

edit: from now on, i am going to refer to myself in the 3rd person when in this thread
Do you like any kind of music, moan?
oh, yes. I like prog rock, prog folk, post rock, experimental, 70s classic rock and blues. I just don't care for much of the mainstream rock of the last 25 or so years.

the_uber_penguin 02-03-2006 06:35 PM

First I lose at life, so I try being a penguin. Then I lose at that, because penguins can't do lots of stuff (like typing, etc...on the other hand I never have to worry about what to wear at a fancy dress party, or tux hire).

After failing as a penguin, I come here to lurk and grab FOD's.

But I lose at that too.

Darn these flippers! Can't play powerchords, or hold a plectrum!

Maybe I should try bass.

Spectrum 02-03-2006 11:43 PM

FOAD.

moaner and I are thinking of collaborating on a Post-Rock project sometime in the near future, which I think'll be amazing.
Curses!
He did that with me too.

Brew 02-04-2006 05:03 AM

if Brew is online, he rarely loses FOD

Jev 02-04-2006 08:51 AM

How is Brew.

I can imagine that.

Brew has cold fingers, but is downloading some Black Metal, which is making him happy.

I might have to see if i can get one of those cheap behringer interfaces first, I have no practical means of reocrding to computer in a semi-decent fashion ATM and transferring to and from cassette just isn't practical.

Fix'd :P

(Has been reading too much Lynn Truss)

the_uber_penguin 02-04-2006 10:06 AM

I wonder. If Brew keeps referring to himself in the third person to help him get FOD's, if I should get one ahead by constantly refferring to myself in the 7th person?

From now on I shall finish each sentence with incorrect grammar?

the_uber_penguin 02-04-2006 01:15 PM

This place is going to get wierd.

Should we introduce some sort of prize for FOD's? To encourage competition for he-who-shall-not-named from Bristol?

Brew 02-04-2006 01:24 PM

competition makes Brew hungry for breakfast.

Jev 02-04-2006 01:28 PM

Fod needs no prize"
What could you possibly give for winning it!

Brew 02-04-2006 01:34 PM

Brew thinks that a pat on the back and a slice of cake would be a good prize

Jev 02-04-2006 01:40 PM

Ever since reading Eats, Shoots, and Leaves, I can't help but use the oxford comma :)

Brew 02-04-2006 04:28 PM

So, a panda bear walks into a pub and orders a meal.

When he has finished, he stands up, shoots the bar maid then proceeds to leave the pub, the landlord stops him and asks ''wtf, why did you shoot my bar maid?''.

the bear replies ''well, if you look up panda bear in the dictionary, it says Eats, Shoots and Leaves, innit mate''

Jev 02-04-2006 04:47 PM

Good one brum,

Brew 02-04-2006 05:02 PM

a classic, brew thinks to himself

Jev 02-04-2006 05:03 PM

I like the one "what has 4 legs and just applied at Macdonalds; Nirvana"" Even though it's really old and doesn't work)
