|
No they don't. They're too far up MF Doom's *** to listen to more than a few Nas cuts here and there.
lolwut white hipsters are like the reason nas is still somewhat relevant |
nas' rapping on illmatic is about as par for the course as it comes but like i said his voice + the production and overall feel of the album is better than anything thats ever been put out
looool , Nas' rapping on Illmatic was way ahead of it's time. Hardly anyone was doing back to back internal rhyming and multi-syllabics like that in 1994.

wu-tang clan kool g rap rakim et al |
nas rapping is awful but yeah he has some good stuff.
far from the best rapper |
wu-tang clan
kool g rap rakim et al
rakim certainly. Wu-tang is utterly irrelevant here. |
pharoahe monch was a better rapper than nas in 1994
he's a better rapper than nas in 2009 i mean if we're talking "back to back internal rhyming and multi-syllabics" |
That matter will have to be investigated.
let it be noticed that I said "hardly anyone" which means that I was refering to the majority of rappers, not the entirety. The average rapper still to this day hasn't caught up with Illmatic. |
"I grew up on the crime side, the New York times side, stayin' alive was no jive
Had second hands, moms bounced on old mans, so then I moved to Shaolin land A young youth, yo, rockin the gold tooth, 'Lo goose, Only time I begin to G off was drug loot" hella multisyllabics and internal rhyming... |

one of the best rappers ever
That matter will have to be investigated.
If you're referring to me, or Pharoahe Monch, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUn1u9SYdCQ
however, pharoahe monch is nerd rap omg
serious or not, Desire may fall in that category but Internal Affairs is angry as **** and Organized Konfusion are not nerdy rap. |
alex i guess i just dont see how you can say wu-tang is irrelevant...theyre pretty much in the same exact genre as nas. nas was the first non-wu-tang member to appear on a wu-tang track, and they've had a close relationship for years.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoMPxSi9iUM the track in question |
serious or not, Desire may fall in that category but Internal Affairs is angry as **** and Organized Konfusion are not nerdy rap.
more making fun of anferny getting butthurt because everyone else here realizes nas sucks :p |
I meant that they're irrelevant to the state of complex rapping in 1994.
|
ya man, the state of complex rapping in 1994 was hella depressing
|
pharoahe monche is nerd rap if you went to one of his shows what do you think you would find? a bunch of white hipsters and nerds.
that's any hip-hop show. |

I simply stated that his rhyming skills were highly above average for the time and that's fairly undeniable.
Yo RZA, yo razor!
