yeah i rememeber listening to HMR and thinking it wasnt anything spectacular and when TPoE came out i didnt even listen to it for a couple of months then my bass player bought the albu and wouldnt shut up about it, so i took a listen and really enjoyed it
like i said ill still be looking forward to the new album
thats not to say that it doesnt have the potential to suck though

but the lines are blurly with most bands anyway take, Acirema. They can be Metalcore, Death Metal, or Deathcore.

it's this neat lingual function called "abbreviation" where you shorten words, but it can also be confusing if you dont know what the components of the finished product were

the suffix "-core" is for "hardcore"

some examples are "metalcore" which is an abbreviation of "metallic hardcore", "deathcore" which is short for "death metal-infused hardcore", and "emocore" which is short for "emotional hardcore" (although this is generally shortened even more, to "emo", because the "-core"-part has been deemed unnecessary since it's so obvious that emo is hardcore)

the origin of "hardcore" in this kind of music is "hardcore punk", so you could basically add the word "punk" to the end of all of those genres, "metallic hardcore punk", "emotional hardcore punk", etc etc

I've never listened to Veil of Maya and I have no interest in listening to them because out of all the deathcore bands I've listened to, they all sound exactly the same. The only deathcore band I can tolerate is Suicide Silence because they were the first deathcore band I listened to. Then I looked into a couple bands on myspace and saw no difference so I just stuck with Suicide Silence.
