Ventriloquist 12-08-2009 06:01 PM

Propagandhi were headlining. Protest + Strike Anywhere were supporting.

Static 12-08-2009 06:07 PM
They didn't do any. So it felt a bit incomplete but it was still good. I really can't get why they can't sample them. Same goes for all the other songs with synth solos(Limb From Limb etc.). Oh and they didn't play anything from Kezia.
lol

Yordy 12-08-2009 09:18 PM

kinda weird how they don't like playing Bone Marrow live, but they play it at a non-headlining show.

xMalcolmXx 12-08-2009 09:25 PM

well, they're playing the whole album on their next tour, they probably just played the same setlist until they ran out of time

Yordy 12-08-2009 09:42 PM

yeah probably. Propagandhi and PtH, damn that show was probably amazing.

Anglachel 12-09-2009 11:32 AM

god can you retards read the thread
anyways im stoked i'm goign to see Protest Saturday. I haven't seen them since, uh, probably just before Fortress comes out. It's weird, I used to see them so regularly and now this is the first time in probably two years.
saturday?
Propagandhi were headlining. Protest + Strike Anywhere were supporting.
I like Propagandhi, but I didn't realize they were bigger than PtH and SA.

avenge the dead 12-09-2009 05:18 PM

Got some friends seeing them on Saturday as well. Wish I could go, but alas, I can not.

Saw them a couple months ago, opening for Killswitch. So I'm not too disappointed.

Tyler 12-09-2009 05:45 PM

Pastor of Muppets 12-12-2009 04:52 AM

I drove to pick up my 16 year-old step sister from school today. She and her boyfriend were in the band room, we got to talking about musiks and this 15 year old jewish boy likes Protest, BTBAM, Scale The Summit, and Dream Theater. Right ****in in front of me, he played the drum and guitar parts (not at the same time, retard) of Turn Soonest to The Sea and Wretch, and all but the sweeps of White Walls. Both while singing his little heart out. I'm so glad my voice doesn't crack anymore.

Jacen 12-12-2009 06:34 AM

Saw them last week supporting propagandhi, seen them before but more entertaining this time especially the bassist.

Ventriloquist 12-13-2009 12:06 PM

Yeah in Rock City. It's still open and one my fav venues. Great shows there this year.
mod club is awesome
it is but i have nobody to go with and a final tomorrow

id have gone if it werent for the final

Tyler 12-14-2009 10:31 PM

they're home for a few months to finish working on it.

Show was good, they've gotten so tight since i last saw them. was weird that Arif stood in the background for much of it. Tim playing the piano part post-Spoils was a nice surprise.

After party was lolol. Most people didn't know there was an upstairs to Sneaks so they just ate and left...so there was maybe 30 people upstairs when Cheddar Cheese decided to finally play at around 1ish. Rody couldn't play his Beverly Crusher love song, either, because something on his guitar was broken. Said some songs should be up on the MySpace already...which I take it means soon, since there aren't.

I wouldn't wear it, but I chuckled at this

alytee123 12-15-2009 05:00 AM

Haha that shirt is great.

DBlitz 12-15-2009 05:01 AM

lol

James46n2 12-15-2009 01:13 PM

Heh, I laughed at that shirt too. I thought the show was awesome. Best I've ever heard Rody. Turn Soonest To The Sea was a nice surprise, too - probably the last song off Kezia I expected them to play.

Was a bit annoying that Arif was at the back on the right - he's the most fun to watch and he was the only one I couldn't see clearly. Still, had a great time. Skipped the afterparty though.

Static 12-15-2009 03:30 PM

a lot of pth fans are fans of **** bands like silverstein too so yeah

I think Arif was just...really high. He's gotten progressively laid back over the years, too. Didn't even recognize Tim since he buzzed his head but the moustache is incredible.

and man, that band who played before them. Seriously. What the **** was that?

alytee123 12-15-2009 06:37 PM
that shirt says it all, pth fans are so stupid looking. no offense to anyone on this thread of course.
I'm pretty awesome looking.

Dimmu Burger 12-15-2009 06:37 PM

I look like Jesus, so you're saying the son of God looks stupid?

Meh, I guess it's okay if he's always high on stage. Doesn't seem to affect his playing. It's just that I was standing on that elevated bit on the right, so he was hard to see.

Tim looked shockingly different, but the moustache - hahah. Yeah.

The band that played before them might have been the worst I've ever seen. And I've seen Crazy Town. Everything they did was horrible. When they went into that auto-tune thing for the first time, my buddy and I just looked at each other like "WHAT?!" I just can't relate to the dudes making that music or the people enjoying it... but, ugh, they actually seemed to have a pretty decent number of fans there. Annoying.

I actually said the same thing to my friend. I felt old and out of touch by the fact that people were legitimately enjoying and singing along to it.

Pastorius 12-16-2009 06:14 PM

who was it?

Ventriloquist 12-16-2009 06:20 PM

Hah yeah he was pretty laid back when I saw them. He's the new Colin Edwin.

Tyler 12-16-2009 07:17 PM
who was it?
http://www.myspace.com/abandonallships

Note the link on their page to GUIDOFISTPUMP.com

It was basically subpar trance/techno and a barrage of chugging breakdowns with autotuned vocals and poopty screaming. It did lead me to say "they drop E more than Tiesto fans", which I was pretty proud of. The songs on their MySpace have considerably more structure than they do live. Live it was literally just dance + chugging.

Static 12-16-2009 09:00 PM

hahah holy **** that was terrible
