Your mom is a smart woman. I used to listen to a good amount of nu metal when I was younger, but now I only listen to it on rare occasions.

I never really listened to rap. I can't stand it. I have one Eminem album, but that's about it.

Eh, I just can't get into rap. I never really considered SOAD nu-metal, by the way I like SOAD.

The one that was posted earlier? Maybe it wasn't you, it was still good anyway. :)

And I agree, some Rap is great. There's some good in every genre.

For those who don't like rap, check out Aesop Rock, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, and Sage Francis. Especially that last one, that guy made me change my view on rap completely.

indian_summer_alt 09-28-2005 05:55 AM

hey guys, whats up? i have one teeny question, we're only a 3 member band(me: bassist, vocals), and we're thinking of covering a HotCross song, will that be hard?

*sorry for my poor grammar, english isnt my 1st language*

I'm sure you could pull it off if you guys can get your parts down. It's going to hardest for whoever is doing vocals.
If we're really going to go there:

De la Soul

RJD2

Those are all hip hop artists that won't make you lose any cred with your elitist EmoScreamoPunk friends because man oh man you don't want neg comments on your myspace page.
what song are you going to cover? you can pull of the music easily, but the vocals...i dunno. i just don't think emo bands should be covered, because its never the same.

Wow 09-30-2005 01:48 PM

So icecreamxcore just got offered our second record deal.
Someday we'll take one.

deadohiosky9 09-30-2005 04:19 PM

wow. icecreamxcore should do a full length.

StandingStill 09-30-2005 05:03 PM

Do it. You can get super famous and take me on tour round Ohio and the East coast.

Wow 09-30-2005 05:29 PM

A full legnth for us would be approximately 7 minutes, including when we just leave the tape rolling while plugging shit in 'cause we're cool like that.

Our shows would also be about 10 minutes, including talking to the people, setting up, and me downing a bottle of Merlot before getting started.

It'd be pretty sweet.

Wow 09-30-2005 05:32 PM
Dude, DRACULACORE got asked to be on a destroyed by robots comp. Our joke grind bands rule.
Nice dude hahaha.

I find it really sad that people are trying so hard in their serious bands to get signed and tour and our joke bands are getting everything they want without trying.

By the way, icecreamxcore is pretty much broken up. Just felt like telling deadohiosky. We might do a song or two but other than that, we're pretty much done since I quit drinking. :p

deadohiosky9 09-30-2005 05:56 PM

dude ash, you quit drinking. omfg. :amaze:

Wow 09-30-2005 06:57 PM

Wow 10-01-2005 12:46 PM

Zach might come over today so we might do our last song. It's a tragic "A Twisted Path"-esq piece about the icecream man getting away.

Yes, we actually wrote a song.
