And it pisses me off.
Why?

Israel is extremely inhumane in all of it's wars, but they continue to get away with it, by saying the other side is worse.
But Israel is at war 100% of the time, they can't afford not to be inhumane, it's the only they can fend off all their enemies.

I'd like to visit the homeland someday...

Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 10:58 PM

My family got exiled from france, then canada, and almost out of Louisiana all within two generations.

thelowsoundofbass 10-04-2006 10:59 PM
Ha, no there have been at least 7 other wars, (don't make me go get my APUSH binder) that invole the all the worlds powers.
That is true, the iraqi war that is going on right now is an example. But a true world war has more than just the big powers involved.

Must be a family of bamfs, or realitives of Jeffery Domer?

Spaceman Spiff 10-04-2006 11:00 PM

It's not official or anything, but Canada already belongs to the US. We're basically the same country anyway.

Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 11:00 PM

We(me and my dad) managed to trace the family back to about 1780 but after that its all inbreds and botton-feeders

I know this, the little countries supported the bigger (mother country) in the popular economic form of mercantilism back then. There were not as many countries back then also, so yeah they were world wars.

Dang, that sucks. I am polish, half the time I don't even have a homeland.

I traced mine back to about 1714 on my dads side, I can trace it back to my mom's grandparents on her side. All that stuff got lost and with about 4 name changes in the first year or so that her family was in NA sure doesn't help.

Damn... looks like the fun has ended.

Seriously, this was such a fun argument/discussion because I talked so much crap throughout it.

It's just more entertaining that way. :D

I have to go to bed.

So, who wants my fretted?

Spaceman Spiff 10-04-2006 11:11 PM
So, who wants my fretted?
If I got it, I'd make it a fretless. I already have the same bass, so a fretless version would be fun.
So, who wants my fretted?
How much?

lowsound

Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 11:15 PM

I haven't played it since I got my fretless.

I think its the p pickup, it gives me lowend like my jazz pickups or my big scary humbuckers never could.

$350-$400

Not a good enough deal for me to jump on sorry.

Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 11:18 PM

I'm going to end up either trading it for that Shecter or trading it in to guitar center for a cort.

Whichever opportunity causes me the least hassle.

I really want another six string bass, TRB would be my choice. I also don't know if mine is going to be usable anymore. If not I am going to buy a new one and rip the pickups out and toss them into my new one.

Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 11:24 PM

I've pretty much left the six string bandwagon I think...

I quit using my B and C strings along time ago once I quit forcing myself to.

Spaceman Spiff 10-04-2006 11:28 PM

After a long time of using it very little, I've recently started using my B string. I was afraid I had wasted my money (even though I've never liked any 5 string that I've played) because I would rarely use it, even though I'd use the C quite a bit. I'm finally getting the full use out of all my strings, which makes me rather happy.

I don't use them that much for the extra notes, just for different positioning. But I like the feel of a six string bass more than a four string or a five string. I found that out after I got my musician.

lowsound

Jody LeCompte 10-04-2006 11:32 PM

Well, I noticed after a while I was only using one hand position and just using my B and C string. And then I thought "This is supposed to allow me to go either way" so I put alot of emphasis on going across rather than down and now it just feels better to go across

blizzard 10-04-2006 11:32 PM

hmmm I'm not looking forward til when my parents wake up later...
