I Still Love You Julie is on Crime??? I totally didn't know that

SkaRobotArmy 10-18-2007 07:40 PM

so those three are acoustic? because i just discovered i actually have MOST of their albums downloaded without actually knowing it. i have all of RAR but i think its all acoustic. so i'm going to buy the album tomorrow and see i guess.

tom79 10-18-2007 09:37 PM

Jordan's First Choice on RAR is electric. 8 Full Hours of Sleep is the only acoustic track on RAR.

TakeWarning 10-19-2007 01:30 AM

When I Still Love You Julie is played on electric, it loses all its subtlety, the acoustic version is so much better.

Ephemeral 10-20-2007 09:32 AM

I always liked the acoustic versions of those songs better.

so im seeing AM! on tuesday, any one else going?

so today at my schools coffee house two guys played those anarcho punks... which was pretty good. they didnt stop at the break, but it still was cool. then i got up a played **** stroll and pints. unfortunately i dont have audio or video for either act, i wish i did. if a vid does get its way on youtube ill post a link.

Flagjacket 11-09-2007 10:10 PM

Your school has a coffe house? What kind of white bread suburban school do you go to?

Anarcho Poser 11-09-2007 10:29 PM

My school does this thing called The Grind every wednesday night where they have free coffee and cookies and people play music, read poetry, etc.
Your school has a coffe house? What kind of white bread suburban school do you go to?
fairly average one actually, one of the other high schools (they are the REALLY REALLY rich one) puts on a festival once a year, with 3 stages and a bunch of local bands.

NAHS hosts it and they have free food and bands come in a play and stuff. normally its a lot of metal/hardcore, but this one band has played for 6 years straight, and so they made it "unplugged"

i think our school should do it more then twice a year, but the administration is retarted. how many people show up?

I dunno, maybe 20 or 30 people. It's always the same crowd though.

mullets suk 11-10-2007 08:34 AM

as long as people came with new stuff to play/share it would be cool. its always the same 50-100 people for our coffee houses.

Flagjacket 11-10-2007 08:45 AM

My school does "open mic night" and student council and sometimes a boyfriend or girlfriend comes and no one does anything except for the Fresh Prince theme song.

asdf 11-10-2007 09:38 AM

My school's radio station is putting on a music fest with the headliner being Mission of Burma.

Great to not be in highschool.

Wow, that's really awesome. I want to see that band pretty bad.

SkaRobotArmy 11-11-2007 12:18 PM

my highschool had coffee houses and stuff and last year even a battle of the bands. they are usually pretty lame but i still do it.

Flagjacket 11-11-2007 12:19 PM

I went to a battle of the bands at a Catholic high school and kept getting in trouble

god free youth up in this bitch

me likes punk 11-11-2007 12:33 PM

Are you done trying to get punk cred, Kevin?

Flagjacket 11-11-2007 04:40 PM

Too bad I'm already punker than you by so much you might as well be Ronald Reagan.

Surtr 11-11-2007 04:43 PM

I always do our schools battle of the bands, and win, due to the fact that we're always the only non-gay metal band. Every other band is usually some **** "metal" band.

Also, thread related, I just re-discovered my copy of New Wave and gave it another listen. I actually like almost all of it now. It's decent shit. Not as good as Searching For A Former Clarity and stuff but meh..

Flagjacket 11-11-2007 04:47 PM

Our school doesn't do Battle Of The Bands thank god because I would not want to sit through like two hours of douchebag buttrock bands, Atreyu tributes and Operation Ivy cover.

Anarcho Poser 11-12-2007 07:36 PM

So I was just gettin' my swell on at the gym, and Thrash Unreal came over the radio.

SkaRobotArmy 11-12-2007 07:57 PM

i love when there is good music at the gym. they played the shittiest song list yesterday...

I hear it almost three times in a 7 hour shift. It gets to be such an annoying song to work(or workout) to.

Twin Human Highway Flares 11-12-2007 10:41 PM

Am I the only one who's never heard AM! on the radio?

In other news, seeing them in 11 days.

obese_breasts 11-12-2007 10:50 PM

I haven't

sketchyjoe 11-12-2007 10:57 PM

The last time I saw them was pretty sweet. They played five songs off RAR.

I also saw them do Disco Before the Breakdown the time before that which was awesome.

TakeWarning 11-13-2007 01:38 AM

Against Me! get played on mainstream radio these days?

Ewww.

obese_breasts 11-13-2007 03:57 AM

OMG selloutz

AndreTheHyena 11-14-2007 01:49 AM

The more I listen to New Wave, the more I love it. It's been on constant rotation the past few weeks.

It seems like the record that Searching... was supposed to be.

obese_breasts 11-14-2007 02:50 AM

I listened to SFAFC the other day and was pleasantly reminded. I do like New Wave quite a bit though, everything but Animal, can't stand that song.
